The Card Game

Eric kissed her front, before to goes on the table. Cheked.
10 of spades.
-Dimitri? he suddenly asked.
Dimitri looked him.
-Yes?
-Can you come please?
He smiled to Anya, but now that he knows what she has around her neck.....
-What? asked Dimitri.
-Please, tell me, did you know what is the rules? he murmured. Did you know it?

[I'm gonna sleep sorry dude! 01.28 here ;D Good night everybody!]

[OOC: i'll be sleeping soon- you're an hour ahead of me]

Dimitri walked away from Anya.
'I don't think anyone knows... we can only guess. My best bet is that we all pick a card at random, and a certain card- maybe the highest, maybe the lowest, or maybe a random one selected by the Villain- will trigger these collars around our necks. You know what they are, don't you? ... Well I have Ace of Spades. It can be the highest value in a deck, or the lowest. Your card seems quite high though, so you may be safe.'

[OOC: Got to sleep in around 5 minutes D: Hopefully this can continue a little bit more tomorrow, I would like to talk to some more of the people.. if not i'll probably see you guys next time we're on the villain's hit list xD]

[ OOC: Look who's late to the new game Hopefully this won't end too soon so Odette can join in and catch up with everything XD ]

Odette felt like she was suffocating. She was starting to lose consciousness and he knew it. His grip tightened around her neck as she looked into his eyes, begging, pleading for him to stop. For him to do anything else but this ..

Odette woke up screaming into the darkness, trying to gasp for air. She realised she had been crying and wiped furiously at her tear-stained cheeks.

She looked up and held her hands to her mouth in shock. He was still there.

'Am I dreaming?' she thought as her father leered down at her. He was so clear and his hands felt so real. She reached up to her neck and as soon as her fingers touched the strange object she screamed again. Fresh tears falling as she tried desperately to remove it and fight away the smirking image of her father.

[OOC: You're going to have to explain some of that to me.. I'm tired and a bit slow today so atm i'm kind of confused :3]

The scream was a suprise to everyone, but for Dimitri it was recognisable.

He ran over to Odette, who was hysterical.
'Odette! Its me..' he said, holding her and hoping she would stop screaming.

[ OOC: You mean about her dad? That was just some abuse flashbacks I made up and a rather realistic nightmare she had, let's say due to all the drugging XD As soon as I saw the whole collar thing I thought of her abusive past and how on his worse days Korso would strangle Odette as a way to vent his own frustrations, he would never kill her but would always leave her on the brink, so he'd still have his stress ball for another day :3 If you meant something else tell meh, my brains all sleep deprived since I didn't sleep last night, so my ramblings may not make much sense x3 ]

Odette tried fighting off whoever had a hold of her, falling silent only when she heard his voice. Her vision was blurry from all the tears, but she could never forget that voice.

'Dimitri ..' her voice came out as nothing more than a hoarse whisper. She buried her face in his chest and closed her eyes, too afraid to look up in case her father was still lingering around, 'I .. I can't breathe with this ..' she gestured towards her neck, keeping her face hidden.

She was probably overreacting, but that nightmare had badly shaken her. It was the first one she'd had of her father in a long time and the first one that seemed so real.

'It's just this place ..' she thought bitterly, 'bringing back unwanted memories ..'

[OOC: I'm sooo tired too.. don't worry it completely makes sense now, I just forgot about the collars so I was confused for a moment xD]

'Its ok..' he said, 'its just a bad dream.'
It was obvious it was the collar that was upsetting her, but he was afraid if she struggled too much it would just set it off.

Once she had calmed down he let go of her.. 'Hey' he said, smiling, offering a hand to help her up off the floor. Obviously things had changed in the past 5 years, and she had grown up alot, but her face was still recognisable over the years.

[ OOC: Ah good, I thought I'd written something completely off topic for a second there XD Sorry for the short post, I have to go out for an hour or two :3 But I shall be back later <33 ]

Odette wiped away the tears as best she could and took his outstretched hand.

'Thanks,' she whispered as she stood up and brushed down her dress.

She looked at him for a while before speaking again, 'hey yourself,' she smiled, it was good to finally see him again after all these years.

[OOC: I was out myself.. only just got back <3]

'I'm not sure why we're here... something to do with these collars and the deck of cards.' He gestured over to the table.
'I've drawn the Ace of Spades.. I really don't know what that means.'
He suddenly became uncomfortable with how tight the collars were around his neck. Eric had recognised what they were. That surely wasn't a good thing. He really didn't want to die under these circumstances.

[ OOC: Ooo hope you had fun I've just got back, but I'll have to leave again later for about an hour :'3 Though I don't know who'll be online by then ]

'Cards?' she said, confused as she glanced over at the table.

'What kind of game is the villain playing now?' she whispered to herself as she wandered over to the table. She eyed the deck warily before quickly picking a card. She stared at it, puzzled as to what would happen next.

'7 of spades ..' she said to herself as she walked back over to Dimitri. As she walked she noticed the other people for the first time, apart from Dimitri, the only other people she knew were Tulio and Jasmine and she didn't really know anything about them apart from their names. She glanced at their necks and was focused once again on the collars.

Odette took a deep breath, trying to stay calm as she touched the collar around her own neck, 'these things are going to kill us, aren't they ..?' she asked Dimitri. She immediately feared the worst, knowing that whatever the villain had planned for them wasn't going to be good.

'One of us, yes, but its not like the Villain to kill a whole group of us in one go. I guess a certain card, the highest or lowest probably, is going to set off one of these collars. The rest will live. Seven is in the middle- you should be safe.'

He looked at his card, hoping it wasn't his ticket to execution. However as he looked at it he couldn't help but be dreadfully reminded of the collars around his neck... he was in a position where he was at one extreme or another, either the furthest away from death or the closest. And being a pessimist he couldn't help but think that it was the latter.

'So one of us is going to die ..' she thought as she looked around the room. She shook her head, as long as it wasn't her why should she care? But she couldn't help feeling a knot twisting in her stomach, she was scared for everyone in that room even if they were strangers to her.

She turned back to Dimitri and saw that he was staring at his card, seemingly lost in thought. She gently placed her hand on his.

'You're not going to die in this place. You still have to find your roommate Jane and that little girl Lilo, right?' she said with a smile, trying to reassure him .. and herself that everything would be alright.

{ OOC: I was just wondering if anybody is up for continuing this until someone dies?! }

(OOC: I was wondering the same thing >.<)

{OOC: I thought that's what you were going to do anyways XD}

[[ooc I just thought everyone had stopped because they were waiting for a death. xD I heard that "screeeccchhh" of a record stopping in my mind when I was looking at this topic. ]]

[OOC: Totally forgot to reply to Odette... sorry i must have skimmed over it! But everyone else should join in too- unless everyone wants to stop now. Its just me and odette talking otherwise xD]

(OOC: i would love too but it would be very weird if suddenly jasmine interrupts them xD)

[OOC: Its soo hot in this room i can't bear to be in here very long... i like the heat but it feels like a sauna in here, and its night now so imagine what its like midday D: So my reply will be short, and not very interesting as i have no ability to think right now xD
Hopefully it will cool down soon so i can be more active when everything kicks off back in the rooms.. typical english weather the sunshine will only last a day or two probably ]

Dimitri sighed... who knows where those two were now?
'Its not so much I'm worried about dying... you know, I think i'm already resigned to that fact by now if we're stuck here. Jane and I thought of escaping and look how that turned out. It would just be... how to put it.. frustrating that I die only moments after you and I meet again.' He smiled. 'Silly, I know... but it would just make everything seem so pointless.'

Fagin ends his prayer and sighs deeply.

Jenny how I wish you were here

Sinbad noticed Fagin mumbling beside him.
- I wonder what that nutcase is doing... Oh well, I guess this place can make you a bit insane.
He turned around and faced the man, careful not to bump into him again.
"Are you alright?"

(what is this? someone talking to Fagin and he dit not cause problems this time, a new experience for Fagin.)

was who what, what are you after? (he said desperately)

"Calm down, I'm not after anything," Sinbad said a bit anxiously. He didn't really feel comfortable with this man.
"You just seemed a bit... nervous, maybe?"
Not that you could blame him, when you thought about the situation he was in.

(not after anything! it gave good menning as Fagin dont have something valuable)

"Who is this Jenny you keep talking about?"

OOC: @Fagin they are making cake in the kitchen, so I'm gonna stay out here for a while. But I can reply from my phone if needed

He looked at the man for a moment.
"Is she also trapped in here?"

OOC: Sowwie I wasn't planning on it, but then the other people asked me if I'd like a piece of their cake. And you don't say no to cake.

"So is she your girlfriend? Daughter?"

OOC: Naw, I don't mind. Though I will probably be confused if you keep that up. It is hard enough for me to write in Danish on msn and English everywhere else xD

(a tear began to run down his cheek)

"Hey, sorry. I didn't mean to make you sad," he said quickly.
He continued in an attempt to cheer the man up.
"But she's not in here, right? So she should be safe back in the room."
- Unlike the people in here... he thought as he looked in Ariel's direction.
-I can't stand the waiting much longer. It's getting harder and harder to keep up the spirit.

yes tru that, I must survive in order to make sure she is safe....

(He looks at Sinbad with suspicion in the eyes)

why are you so kind to me?

- Because you fell because of me earlier. And now you are acting so weird, so I'm afraid you hurt your head or something.
No, he couldn't say that. It sounded wrong, and besides the man could have been weird even before the fall.
He thought of something else to say.
"Well... We are all in the same situation here... So I don't see why we shouldn't be kind to eachother."

I assume it can not harm.

(His facial expressions become normal again)

it does not look like we can do anything while we are waiting

(Fagin thought on something they could talk about but talking to people is not wart he is accustomed to. he said with nervousness in hes voice)

so... how do you kill the time ind here?

Sinbad was relieved. The man seemed.... somewhat normal again.

"How I kill the time? Well, aside from eating and sleeping and such, I ...."
He thought about the things he had done while he was trapped.
- No, I can't tell him that... What else have I been doing in here?

"Well, I usually spend time talking to my roommate, and getting to know them."
- It's a lot better than just keeping to yourself, like I did in the beginning, he thought. He hated the Black Out, but that's what changed his mind on that point.

"What about you?"


OOC: @Fagin Goodnight ^^ Please don't pay attention to the video camera outside your vindue. It's just payback time

'I understand,' she said, absentmindedly staring down at her card, 'before .. you know, I knew you were here .. I wouldn't have minded dying in this place. There wasn't much out there for me to look forward to, but now ..' she stared at him for a few seconds, a solemn smile on her lips, 'we have so much lost time to catch up on, it would be cruel for it to just slip away in an instant ..' she touched the collar around her neck again, it was starting to get easier to think about it without panicking, 'though those are his intentions aren't they .. the villains I mean.'

She looked around the room, a couple of people were talking, while others sat in silence, 'probably thinking the worst,' she thought as she turned back to Dimitri.

'You know, you look good for someone who's been arrested 3 times,' she said, smiling as she nudged him playfully. Trying to lighten the mood.

Ooc: This is making me nervous lol im biting my nails in suspense :-)

I have been beaten by someone and thats it, oh and bay the way do you have a fix? i need it bad

OOC: its sure is hard to sleep wen thers a camera on you the hole night

"A fix? You are an addict?"
Sure, he seemed strange. But still.

Ariel noticed Sinbad talking to someone

Kida seemed to be asleep, so she walked over to Sinbad and held his hand

"Hi Sinbad, who is your friend here?" Ariel asked

I live in a box what do you think?

OOC: wart! I have not done so for years

"Oh, hi Ariel. This is.... uhm... Sorry, I don't think I ever got your name," he said to Fagin.


OOC: It was like a year ago. And I hold grudges. I'm never going to forgive you for that xD

"Oh uh...Well in case you didn't know, my name is Ariel. I am Sinbad's...girlfriend"

"And by girlfriend, I mean friend who is a girl" Ariel giggled nervously

(Fagin had to think it was so rare that people would wanner know his name that he tends to forget)

"Fagin?" Ariel giggled

"What a lovely name" Ariel joked

"So what have you guys been talking about?"

"Hi Fagin, I'm Sinbad."
He wanted to say 'nice to meet you', but actually the man kind of frigtened him.
Sinbad pulled Ariel closer, further away from Fagin.

"Well... we haven't really been talking about much. We talked a bit about someone Fagin knows, named Jenny."

OOC: What, I'm not getting my free car? You are such a lying bastard

Ariel got slightly scared about the fact Sinbad pulled her away from Fagin a bit

"Jenny? Who is Jenny"

Ariel got out of Sinbad's grip and walked to Fagin and looked straight in his face with her eyes, he looked pale and tired

She held his hand

"Don't worry Fagin, you can trust us, its alright"

(Fagin was very confused people seemed to be a little too friendly in here but with her it was ok
He tried to talk as normally as possible but stutters a lot in his voice when he said)

Jenny well she is my daughter

Sinbad didn't feel comfortable with the situation.
- Oh, so she's his dautghter, he thought to himself as he walked closer to Fagin and Ariel.
"It must be terrible to have your daughter kidnapped as well," he said concerned.

"Your daughter, wow. I bet she is really pretty"

Ariel sat next to Fagin

"Do you miss her? You know while being in here?"

Ariel tried to be as nice as possible
