Through the Wall (W/Room 4)

Still locked in the bathroom, Anya turned towards the wall. Maybe she could talk to somebody through it...like she did with Odette. Well it is worth a shot. "Umm Hello? Can anybody hear me?"

"I can hear you, I'm Kida. I'm in a room with a man named Eric and he can hear you too." It was only the second or third time that she had spoken to anyone through the wall.

"Eric's with you?" she smiled, "Sorry it's just he was my old roommate, I'm Anya."

"Hello, Anya. Yeah, he's right here." Kida said.

"well how are you doing? I'm here with a man named Phoebus, he seems...odd. I'm not really sure what to think of him. I am currently lock in the bathroom because I'm having trouble trusting him."

"P-Phoebus..? Don't trust him. He has a split personality and one of them is that of a serial rapist. He nearly raped me and my last roommate, and I'm pretty sure he's raped others. It's not his fault, though..." Kida said.

Anya stiffened, "I KNEW IT! I knew there was something off about him! I'll just stay in here..." She wondered how Eric was doing, "How are things going with Eric?"

"He's great, a very proper gentleman..." Kida said.

"good, I'm glad he's beeing nice." she smiled of course she knew Eric was nice to most people, but she also knew he had a temper

Eric approached the wall. Slowly, he raised his hand towards it, before lowering it. Inspiring profoundation, he raised the head.
-Anya? I am there. Do not approach a him, you hear me? If he tries anything, takes my knife and defend yourself. You know where it is? Fetches it and return fast, all right?
He didn't really wait an answer of her. After all, he had scarified her skin, how did he dare to speak to her about knife after that? But over the moment, he made fun desperately because she would never rely on him. There, the only thing which imported it was to defend her. Because after all, he loved her.
Turning to Kida, he lowered the voice.
- I am sorry for... What he made you. I know, my words have to seem to you useless, but believe in me, I am saddened. I can promise you to charge him, if you wish it.

She sighed and hit her head against the wall, "Eric I lost my knife in the basement, and I'm not sure if he even has one,"

Eric squeezed the fist, without moving.
-Anya, listen to me.
Eric ignored however what to say. What? Rest here and does not move it more? It was impossible and he knew it. The food given by Villain was in the other room, she could not remain locked into the bathroom. But he knew her strength and her panic as soon as we attacked... Frontally her body. He couldn't risk to let Anya return to the room and to see attacking. Too risky. Then what, Eric? What? What do you want to say to her eh? I love you? She will believe in you never, never after what you have make!
-Forgive me, murmured Eric, too low so that Anya hears him, but enough so that Kida turns to him.
Recovering, he resumed his normal voice.
- Everything's gonna be okay. You remember how I learnt you to defend you? You remember? I can learn you others from here.

"Eric I know self defense, actually I've already punched him, I just need to stay in here a while and figure out what to do, I don't have a weapon, but he might..."

Slowly, Eric sat down against the wall. Pinching his nose, he obliged himself in the peace.
- yYu have punch him. Did he tried anything?

"Well...he came towards me, and the look he had on his face was like the look my father had right when he was about to do something aweful to me, he had the same look in his eyes. I sort of freaked out and punched him and ran into the bathroom."

-It's good, it is very good Anya.
There was a silence. Slowly, Eric crossed the hand on the wall, feeling useless. Slowly, he tilted the head behind.
-Anya are you okay?

"I'm fine right now, but I can't stay in here forever, I need to eat something, so eventually I'll have to come out, which I'm dreading." She closed her eyes and hit her head on the wall, she wished it would all just go away...

-Anya, I'm sorry. I had promised you to take you out from there. I hope to arrive there soon. But at the moment... Sorry to be useless...

"Eric, It's ok, I'm fine right now don't worry about me, focus on you."

- Focus on you, yes, of course, murmured Eric.
He made fun many of it which could arrive at him. He felt, knew that he was going to die for her.
-Anya...
He would have wanted to apologize. For everything, for nothing. For the scar. For the kisses. But he could not take out these words there. Not because he was not at the height. Not at her height.
-Anya, say to me that you are well. Say to me that everything is well.

"I'm fine," she repeated, "Honestly he hasn't doen anything to me," yet... Anya hesitated, she knew him, she knew he would try something. "Just...Eric promise me you won't do anything stupid." She took in a deep breath, "Don't get yourself killed for me."

He smiles. Obviously, she had realized it. Obviously. Putting the hand on the wall, he took a self-assured voice.
- Don't worry, I would make nothing of this kind. What do you want I do moreover? To provoke Villain to convince him to put back us together? Provoke Villain to make me kill Phoebus? I'm not this kind of impulsive guy.
At least, I was not it before you. Sighed, he put the forehead against the wall.
-Anya.... I miss you, he murmured.
Even if you'll never believe in me.

"I miss you too..." She whispered not even sure if he could hear her. And finally, she cried. She didn't care if the villain saw and laughed at the pain she was in, she didn't care that she was in a room with a rapist, all she cared about was seeing Eric again. She was careful not to make noise while she was crying, she didn't want Eric even more worried.

There was a silence, in the course of which Eric felt at once patient and wounded person. A very unpleasant sensation, and painful. The forehead against the wall, he closed eyes, so hardly as he could. And suddenly, he heard it. He had there only one. A sobbing hiccup.
Anya cried.
Eric squeezed violently the fist. Of course, she cried! It was only face one rapist psycopathe, cameras fixed to her, and for only company in front of all this, the one in who she trusted and which had cut her skin! Obviously she cried, moron! She had all the reasons of the world to cry!
Without realizing it, Eric threw his fist against the wall.

Anya instantly stopped, "Eric are you ok? What did you do?!" Damn his temper!

Eric opened eyes, fixing his fist. Joints bled, but he didn't loosen it one second. The blood flowed between the fingers, slowly. Eric inspired profoundation.
- Nothing, everything is well Anya. Everything is well.

No everything was not fine, he was way too calm for everything to be fine, he was trying to trick her, "Eric, you promised you wouldn't lie to me anymore..." she felt angry and helpless, there wasn't anything she could do for him.

Eric closed again eyes, breathing slowly. She was angry after him. For the lie and for the rest. And it had been a long time since he feel it the last time.
That hurts, believe me, a blade, down straight ahead in my soul...
- I feel bad, he murmured. I feel bad a lot, he repeated more hardly so that she hears.

"What about? Not protecting me? It's not your fault, you can't always be there to protect me, Eric. Remember before I met you I protected myself! I protected myself from everyone, my father, my supposed friends, even the man I thought I loved! But the you came, and I opened up to you, Eric you are the reason I've been able to survive here, you're the reason I haven't gone completely insane. You've helped me so much, but I can also protect myself."

Eric clenched teeth. Even if it was a part of the problem, it was not everything. Certainly he wanted to protect her. Of everything, if possible, even if he did not doubt how much a woman needed her space, to show her ability. He respected that. But.. Have lost her confidence... Have hurther... By his fault that he could not forgive himself.
- I know, Anya, I know. You are stronger than you believe it. You are a wonderfull Anya...
That's a part of why I love you.

"Then why? Why are you so upset?"

-Because of all this! Eric exclaimed. 'Cause of the fact that we are locked as rats! 'Cause of the fact that a psycopathe plays with us! 'Cause of the fact that I am useless!
'Cause of the fact that I love you as a fool and that you are not with me any more!

"Well I'm upset too! About all of this!" She slammed her hand into the wall, "Eric you ARE NOT useless! You are human! there is nothing you can do right now to make all of this go away! Don't beat yourself up because of that!"

He would have cross his hand on the cheek, then in her hair if he had had her in front of him. What increased hsi gloom.
- Don't strike wall, you risk to hurt you darling, he says in a smiling voice, while there was a hand on the face.
He was very convincing to imitate the intonations of the voices, but not faces that go with it.

"I'm fine," she muttered, although her hand was starting to swell. whether form hiting the wall or punching Phoebus she was not sure

Eric put the forehead against the wall. There were so many things as he would have wanted to say to her, wanted to make to her. Very too dangerous things in these places. Things that she would never accept, henceforth. Kiss her, for example. Too dangerous and she would never want it. Take her against him and smelt her hair. Fall asleep with her after long conversation in the dark. Wake up in the real house, and realize that she is woken before him. Stupid and painful, fatal and unfeasible dreams.

Anya rested her head against the wall, she wanted to know what he was thinking right now, but without looking at him it was impossible to determine

See her play piano, even if he ignored if she knew how to play it. Go on holiday on a beach and see her in pareo. Make love with her, two million times, and that every time be different. Go home from work and found hersleepy on sofa.
He wanted a life with her, far from here, but also far from his ancient life. He didn't plan to change job, nor to erase his contacts, but change. Forget the ancient he who spent his life between his job and his bottles. Have a house, and live with a fixed person, with the one that he loved. Live, finally.
Raising the head, he didn't however open eyes.
-Anya?
- Yes?
- Do you play piano?

Anya laughed a little, "No I don't really have any musical abilities."

Well, so see her paint?
- Do you paint?

Anya hesitated for a moment, "I used to when I was little, but I don't anymore."

Eric laughed, in spite of him.
- What happen? Asked for Anya.
But Eric was incapable to stop. The stress, the fatigue, the disease, and the rest fell again to him suddenly any tops, and he collapsed on the ground. When he been able finally to get his breath back, he recovered.
- Sorry Anya, nervous giggle.

Anya smiled a little, "I geuss I just became too busy with my career..." She laughed a little, "now that I think about it I've given up so much for my career."

He felt her nostalgic and maybe sad.
-Maybe you could took back everything, when you will go out from here...
Eric frowned. Lots of persons, not only her agent, but doubtless fans had to look for her. Quite as Helga and Miguel had to look for him. Hope that Villain is not a so good psycopathe as that.
- Do you will take back from your career by going out?

Still gagging a little from the squid she sighed, "I have no idea, I don't think I can plan that far ahead. I don't think I will though."
