New Roommate

Wendy woke up and looked around the room she had no idea which room she was in now somewhere different she looked over and saw a girl who looked about her age sitting curled up in the corner Wendy moved over to the girl and gave a worried and friendly smile

"Hello" She spoke with a kind tone to her voice hoping the girl was not a new person kidnapped

Thumbelina looked a the girl and said," Hello, what's your name?,"

"My name is Wendy what is yours?"

Wendy tried to smile at the girl hoping to not frighten her with her rough looking appearance


"You will have to pardon me? I have been here for a very long time so i do not look my best"

Wendy held what once was her dress showing Thumbelina her rags

"Don't worry if you are here as long as I have been here your clothes will be no more as well. So where are you from what is your story"

Thumbelina replied," will i used to be a Showgirl and will my mother dislike it and..." she began to cry to herself.

"What happened Thumb? You can tell me it is not like we are going anywhere."

Wendy laughed a bit to herself at the thought of actually escaping

Thubelina said," Will my mom didn't really want me to become a Showgirl and will she kick me out of my house then Red toke me in." "So how did u get in here?" she asked Wendy.

Wendy sighed and looked down trying to remember

"Well I ran away one day and found an old Inn Mrs. Hawkins answered the sweet heart she took me in let me live there if I cleaned then I fell in love with her son Jim she was so sweet to me though. Since my mother was trying to force me to get married to some one rich. Well me and Jim wanted to run away together as we left to get my things someone grabbed me and him to but he died here...."

Wendy started crying

Thumblina said to Wendy," aww, how sad." " i'm so sorry to here that."

Wendy smiled a little at the girl

"It is ok, I can not keep beating myself over it forever"

Wendy sat by her and started to play with her hair

"Can I braid your hair I am being such a girl but I am bored"

Thumbelina awnswered to Wendy," Of corse u can, I just love when my hair is braid,: she gave a big smile to Wendy.

*Wendy smiled and braided her hair in a big braid while she was braiding she sighed*


"I am sorry your mother did not approve of you being a show girl my mother was trying to force me to marry someone I did not love. Sometimes mothers can be that way. They think they know what is best for us but they don't only we know"

*Thumbelina smile back*

"Ya, But we still love them." she said to Wendy

Wendy smiled a faint smile

"Yeah I guess deep deep down I will always love her"
