Sinbad had been sleeping for a long while. Without opening his eyes he slowly regained conciousness.
He had spent the last couple of days either sleeping, trying to sleep or just stare at the wall or the ceiling. What was the point in getting up anyway?
He noticed he wasn't lying on the mattress anymore. He was lying on the floor instead.
He sat up. He had been moved to another room. HE noticed Odette lying not that far away from him, still sleeping.
He slided back across the floor until his back hit the wall. He folded his arms around his legs and placed his head on his knees.
Somehow he was kinda happy he had company again. That he was now roomed with Odette. Even if it was in a new room with barely any furnitures.

Odette let out a soft moan as she turned in her sleep, lying on her back for a few minutes before finally waking up.

She slowly sat up and ran her fingers through her hair, only opening her eyes when she felt something fall off of her head.
She sighed when she looked down to see the pink bunny ears that made up part of her costume on the floor, part of the same costume that made every serious conversation she had a lot more awkward, just like what happened with Pocahontas after I ..

She gripped the headband tightly and closed her eyes, frustrated with herself for causing an argument with a friend over her own selfish actions. She kept her eyes closed as she angrily threw it across the room.
She looked in the direction she had thrown it in just in time to see the headband hit Sinbad on the arm.

She blinked a few times as she realised she was no longer in a room alone before mumbling a quiet apology in his direction.

Sinbad had stared into the air for a long while, while he had waited for Odette to wake up.Just to let the time pass. Exactly as he had done in the last couple of days.
He thought of everything and nothing at once.
He was distracted when he felt something hit his arm. He turned his head slightly and looked at the headband on the floor. He then looked up in the direction it had come from.
He smiled a little. "That was an unsual way to greet people."
He looked down at the headband again. Eventually he picked it up and studied it further without really looking at it at all.
"Are you okay?" he asked softly as he looked at her from the corner of his eye.

She looked away from him and down at the ground. She wasn't sure how long she'd been alone before, all she knew was that she'd spent most of it lost in her own thoughts. Replaying, over and over again, all of the things that she'd heard and done that hurt the people closest to her and hating herself for being a part of them. At least, for now, she had a distraction from some of those thoughts.

'It doesn't matter .. I'm just glad I don't have to be alone anymore ..' she said quietly before looking back up at him, 'what about you?' she asked as she crawled closer to him, leaning her back against the wall as she sat beside him, 'how's your leg?'

Sinbad placed his hands in his lap, still holding the headband, and stretched his legs slightly.
He smiled on the inside as he watched her crawl closer. It was nice not to be all alone anymore. To be with someone he could actually talk to. Without fighting.
Sinbad looked to his leg as Odette asked about it.
"I think it's fine now. It doesn't really hurt anymore."
He turned his head and looked at Odette again.
"Were you in a room alone... before you got here?"

She followed his gaze to his leg and smiled, 'I'm glad you're feeling better,' she turned to look at the wall opposite her and nodded slowly, 'I guess the break from having a roommate wasn't too bad .. especially after what happened last time,' she added quietly.

'What about you ..' she said quickly and hugged her knees to her chest, 'who were you with before me?' she asked as she turned back to him.

Sinbad wondered what could have happened the last time he was roomed with someone. He was too curious not to ask.
"I was also roomed alone for a while," he answered briefly.
"What happened... the last time you were roomed with someone?" he asked hesitantly.

'For a while?' she tilted her head, curiously, 'have you been alone all this time? Ever since ..' she paused and looked away for a moment, '.. what happened in the garden?'

'I got into an argument with Pocahontas,' she said sadly and rested her forehead against her knees, 'I did something and now .. now she must hate me ..'

"I was roomed with Pocahontas for a little while," he said. he didn't want to think of that time. Being alone had at least been better than being with her.
He looked at Odette for a little while. Then he turned his look down.
"What was the argument about?" he said slightly surprised. They had seemed like such good friend the time he had talked with them through the wall. What could have happened in the meantime?

'You were ..' she paused when she remembered what Pocahontas had told her about Ariel and decided to quickly change the subject.

'She got mad at me for ..' she stopped and looked up at him, staring at him as she wondered if it was a good idea to tell him exactly what had happened, 'I .. I slept with someone I knew she had feelings for ..' she looked down and smiled sadly to herself, 'but I guess that's just something I do .. like with you and Ari ..' she stopped suddenly as she felt a sob catch in her throat. She quickly turned away, not wanting him to see the tear that fell down her cheek at the mention of her name.

Sinbad looked up at her again as she spoke.
At first he had wanted to say something, that it was alright. That she shouldn't feel so sad about it. But when he heard her almost mention Ariel's name, he couldn't. It had been hard enough to deal with his own thoughts. To hear her say that... To be reminded of what had happened... What he had done to cause this big mess...
He looked at the headband in his hands, fumbled with it for a little while. He cleared his throat.
"Sleeping with people like that... it's a bad idea..." he said in a low voice.

'Don't you think I know that by now .. that if I wasn't like this then ..' she started quietly, her face still turned away from him. The more she'd thought about this while alone, the more she blamed herself and the more she hated herself for what she'd started, '.. that if I hadn't slept with you .. I wouldn't have gotten pregnant and if I hadn't said those things to Ariel then maybe she wouldn't have been so quick to hurt me and our ..' she turned back to him, her whispers now angry shouts as more tears streamed down her face, 'if none of that happened then Pocahontas wouldn't have done what she did to protect me and .. and Ariel might still be alive!'

She quickly buried her face in her hands when she realised what she'd said, 'if I wasn't so selfish .. if I hadn't forced you to do something you didn't want to do .. then she'd still be alive ..'

Sinbad listened to what she said. The whole thing was playing before his eyes. He clenched his hands around the headband. He heard her whisper turn into shouting.
"I know that," he yelled when he heard her mention Ariel being dead.
"It was a stupid mistake. It should never have happened. It only lead to so much suffering," he continued as he threw the headband away.
He breathed out and looked at her.
"I'm sorry," he whispered and looked away. He didn't want to start a fight. He couldn't handle that in that moment.
"It wasn't your fault. I was the one responsible. I was the one who shouldn't have let it get that far... because I had her..."
- And Pocahontas was the bitch who killed her, he thought as he clenched his hands to not let it out.

She moved her hands away from her face as he spoke, watching her headband land across the room.
Once he'd finished speaking she slowly stood up and walked over to it, picking it up and standing there in silence for a moment.

'I'm sorry too, but .. not because of what happened to Ariel ..' she said quietly, keeping her back to him as she stared down at the pink bunny ears in her hand, 'I'm just sorry that you have to suffer because of it ..'

'Maybe ..' she said as she walked towards the bathroom and opened the door, 'maybe I should just stay away from you .. that way you won't have to make another .. mistake ..' she kept herself from looking at him before disappearing into the bathroom and quietly closing the door behind her.

Odette walked over and sat on the edge of the bathtub. She took several deep breaths, trying to calm herself down after her outburst, despite the tears that still fell down her cheeks.

Sinbad looked at her as she stood up and walked over to pick up the headband. He listened to what she said in silence.
He watched her carefully as she left the room. He kept staring at the door for a long while.
The room had been almost empty all the time, but somehow it felt even emptier now.

Sinbad moved his legs up against his chest and hugged them. He buried his face in his knees. Why had it turned out like this? He had asked himself that question over and over again. Why couldn't he just have stopped? Then none of this would have happened. Then none of them would have suffered like this.

After what seemed like hours, she still felt the same. Angry at herself and even more hurt ..

Eventually she stood up and turned on the bathwater. She placed her hand underneath the tap, checking the temperature of the water before stepping back, taking off her clothes and dropping them to the floor.
She looked down and traced the largest scar on her stomach with her finger, wondering if it had all somehow been worth the pain ..

Turning off the tap, she slowly slid into the hot water. She leant her head back against the bath and closed her eyes, hoping that this would help calm her down.

Sinbad didn't move for a long time. Or at least it felt like a long time. He wasn't sure if the time was mvogn forward around him or not. Sometimes he just felt so lsot and empty. Which nothing to do he had felt trapped in the same place again and again.

Sinbad lifted his head slightly and stared ar the bathroom again for what felt like another eternity. Eventually he got up and slowly walked towards the door. He stopped when he reached it. For a while he just looked at it, still debating with himself whether or not to say anything.
"Are you alright in there?" he started off.

When she heard his voice, she opened her eyes and just stared at the door. She stayed that way for a few minutes, deciding that she probably couldn't speak to him even if she wanted to. Instead she just sank down further into the bathtub until her head disappeared under the water. Maybe once she resurfaced, she'd feel differently.

Sinbad waited for her reply. He couldn't hear any sounds coming from the other side of the door.
"Odette?" he said in a louder voice as he knocked on the door. Still no response.
She had been so upset when she had left. They had both been. Could she still be upset? Maybe she just prefered not to talk to him at all. But it'd be nice to know that she was alright.
"Odette, I'm coming in," he said eventually before he opened the door and entered the room.

Odette soon resurfaced and pushed the wet hair out of her face. She pretended she didn't see him come in as she leant her head back against the bath again.

As Sinbad entered the room he saw Odette lying in the bathtub.
He leaned his back against then wall and looked at his feet.
"I... I just wanted to make sure you were alright in here," he mumbled, wishing he had actually thought of something to say before he had entered.

She glanced over at him for a moment before finally speaking up, 'I'm .. fine,' she lied, the hesitation obvious in her voice, 'I don't know why you care anyway ..' she said quietly as she looked down at herself, 'after what happened earlier ..'

She was fine? As if. It sure didn't seem like it.
"Why wouldn't I care?" he asked as he looked up at her. "Do you really think that something like that would change anything? That I'd just suddenly stop caring about you at all?"

'Why would you care at all? All I've done is make your life worse ..' she said as she kept her gaze away from his.
She wasn't sure if she really wanted to know the answer, but she had to ask, 'can you honestly say that you wouldn't have been better off if you never met me?'

Sinbad looked at his feet again as he thought about her question.
"No, I can't say that," he said eventually.
"But neither can you. If you hadn't met me, you wouldn't have ended up in that hospital." He paused for a little while, scatching a feet against the floor.
"Both of our lives could probably have been a lot better... But we can't change it... It already happened..."

She regretted asking the question as soon as he spoke.

She sat up suddenly, gripping the edge of the bath with one hand as she stared at him, 'if that's how you really feel then don't tell me you care!' she shouted at him before quickly calming down again. She looked away and rested her forehead in her palm, '.. I don't want to hear that from you if you don't really mean it.'

Odette sighed softly as she crossed her arms on the edge of the bath and rested her chin on top of them, 'I know I should feel the same way, but .. even after everything I said in the other room I really .. I ..' she let out a deep breath, 'maybe to me, all the pain I suffered .. was worth it ..' she whispered as she turned to look at him again.

Sinbad contiued to scratch his foot over the floor, staring at the ground as he listened to her.
"... I did mean what I said," he whispered. He pushed himself away from the wall and walked over to the bathtub. "I really do care about you."
Sinbad sat down on the edge of the tub. "That's why it hurts me so much to think about all the suffering you went through... just because of me... I don't want something like that to happen to you again at all cost."

When he sat on the edge of the bath, she sat up and moved closer to him, kneeling in the bath as she wrapped her arms around his waist. She sat like that in silence for a few minutes, wondering if she should allow herself to truly believe him.

'I never want to be part of the reason you get hurt,' she said quietly as she rested her chin on his shoulder, 'if you really don't want something like that to happen, then maybe I should stop making such stupid mistakes ..' she whispered in his ear, '.. except maybe with someone that I care about ..'

Sinbad placed a hand on top of her arms as he listened to her.
He turned his head slightly, just enough to be able to look her in the eyes.
"That sounds like a good idea," he said softly. "Because then it wouldn't really be a mistake anymore... would it?"

'No, it wouldn't ..' she whispered as she leaned in to kiss him, but before she did a small smile appeared on her lips and she suddenly pulled him backwards and into the bath with her.
She quickly moved to one end of the bathtub and couldn't help but laugh as the water splashed her face.
She hoped he wouldn't be too mad about getting wet so suddenly.

Sinbad leaned into the kiss, looking forward to it as he suddenly felt himself getting pulled backwards.
He splashed around in the water, trying to get his head up for air. He placed his hands on the bottom of the tub and pushed himself upwards. His legs was still hanging over the edge. He pulled them close to be able to keep his head over over without support from his arms.
He sat up and coughed a little bit of water up.
"Now, that was a surprise," he said and laughed slightly. While keeping his leg in place, his moved his upperbody foreover and put his weight on his arms.
"What did I do to deserve that?"

'I'm sorry,' she said, trying and failing to hold back her laughter as she watched him, 'I couldn't help myself.'

She continued to sit where she was, looking down as she drew small circles on the surface of the water with her finger, 'I just thought that maybe it could lighten the mood a little,' she glanced back up at him with a smile, 'all I know is that it cheered me up .. thank you,' she added before playfully sticking her tongue out at him.

"I see," he said and smiled at her. "As long as it cheered you up..."
He looked down at the water in the tub as he let his hand run through it. Shortly after he looked up at Odette again as he splashed some water on her. "... then I guess I can live with such an unfair move this one time," he said and laughed.

'Hey!' she laughed as she held a hand in front of her face and splashed him back.

She smiled at him before she turned away and started playing with a few strands of her hair, 'you know ..' she started quietly, 'if there's anything I can do to help make you feel better about .. anything,' she said sincerely, 'all you have to do is ask ..'

Sinbad moved a little closer to better be able to hear what she said.
"Thank you," he said quietly as he started playing with the wet hair covering her back.
"In that case," he continued eventually after he had thought about it for a little while. "How would you like if we continued where we left off... before you pulled me into the tub?"

'That depends ..' she started tentatively as she moved closer to him, 'if you're sure this is what you really want .. I don't want to make you feel like you have to do anything ..' she whispered as she watched him carefully.

"Why would I suggest it if it wasn't something I wanted?" he asked slightly surprised as he moved closer.
"It is something I want," he said softly before he leaned in and gently kissed her lips.

She was about to say something else but as soon as his lips touched hers it disappeared to the back of her mind.

She pulled away from him and let her hands rest on the back of his neck. She looked into his eyes and after a moment of silence she slowly pulled him towards her, kissing him again.

Sinbad deepened the kiss as he leaned in on top of her. He pushed her hair over her shoulder and placed his hand on her back to press her closer against him.
It felt nice being with her like that again. It was like he didn't have to think of anything else. He could just forget the real world, forget about all the pain and just enjoy the moment.

She hesitated for a second when he pulled her closer as she started to remember what was so important about what she had forgotten earlier. But this feeling was too good for her to want to stop now, so she tried to ignore what her head was telling her to do as she moved down and started to kiss his neck.

Sinbad could feel the hesitation from her when he pulled her closer. But in the moment he barely paid attention to it and as soon as she started kissing his neck, he forgot all about it. Sinbad moaned as he enjoyed the touches from her mouth.
Still with a hand on her back, he moved his other hand to her front, across her thigh and stomach to her breast. He didn't pay the new scar on her lower stomach special attention. If he had thought of the reason she had gotten it, he probably wouldn't have been able to continue. But in that moment his mind blocked everything else out. He focused only on her, as if nothing else mattered.
When his hand reached it's destination, he cupped her breast and caressed it with his hand.

Odette jumped back slightly and felt her stomach tense up as his hand moved over it. As soon as his hand moved up to her breast she visibly relaxed, deciding that if her scar didn't bother him then she wouldn't let it bother her either.
She leaned down, moaning softly against his lips before kissing him again as she ran her fingers through his hair.

"I had almost forgotten how good it feels to be with you like this," he said before he started covering her neck with kisses.
With the hand on her back he lifted her slightly before he moved his mouth to her breast. He started kissing and licking it, nibbling it gently as he moved closer to the nipple. Meanwhile he moved his hand from her back to the front and fondled her other breast, squeezing it lightly.
As his mouth approached her nipple he stuck out his tongue and licked around it with the tip. Sinbad licked the niple and blew lightly on it before he lowered his mouth and took it in his mouth.
Eventually he switched breast and continued.

Sinbad could feel the water getting colder. He lifted himself a little so he was facing Odette again. "The water's getting a little cold. What do you say we continue this somewhere else?"

She smiled at his words, not being able to do anything but laugh softly as she felt his lips on her neck.
She leant her hands against his shoulders and arched her back, moving closer to him. She closed her eyes, her fingers gripping his shoulders as she moaned at his touch.

Odette slowly opened her eyes and kissed him softly before pulling away slightly and whispering, 'where did you have in mind?'

Sinbad thought about it for a little while. He hadn't really had anything in mind, he just knew it couldn't last forever in the tub when the water was getting cold.
"How about the shower, maybe?" he suggested. "There's all the warm water we need... Or if you have gotten enough of the water, then somewhere else in here," he added as he stroke her hair and began to stand up.

Odette smiled at him before standing up and stepping out of the bathtub, her back facing him.

'As long as you're there with me then I don't care where we go ..' she whispered, more to herself than to him.

She glanced back at him, a playful smile on her lips, '.. the shower is fine with me,' she said, louder this time before walking towards the shower and disappearing inside, waiting for him to follow her.

When inside she turned on the water and as it washed over her, she felt her head start to clear and she started to remember what she really wanted.

Sinbad stood up. As he did so he became aware of his pants which were heavy from the water. He took them off, squeezed the water out of them and hang them up to dry.
"The shower it is then," he said with a smile as he walked towards the shower and went inside.
Sinbad placed his hands on her waist and gently pulled her closer before he leaned in to kiss her.
