New Room Familiar Face

Oh God twins..."I hope it's not twins. It's one thing to bring one baby into this place...let alone two." She touched her stomach again gently, "I think it's a girl." She whispered, "I-I just have this feeling."

Snow White smiled gently, "Then you're probably right, but you won't know until you give birth." She said.

Anya shuddered, "That's the part I'm nervous about...giving birth." She couldn't imagine how painful it would be with out any doctors or medicine

Snow White grimaced just thinking about giving birth without pain killers. "That's the one part that definitely won't be easy." She said quietly

Anya nodded, leaning her head back against the wall

Anya glanced over at Snow, "What if the baby dies? My doctor told me I shouldn't have children."

Snow White frowned, "Wait why did your doctor advise you not too?" She asked, she started to worry.

Anya sighed, "I-I don't know I guess it's a genetic thing. My mother kept miscarrying then when she had me, she died in childbirth."

Snow White was horriefied when she heard that, "But surely there must be a cure or something." She said quietlly.

"Not from what I've heard." Anya whispered. Suddenly she remembered the name. She had seen it on the back of the only picture of her mother in the house. She remebered her father burning the picture after she barely caught a glance at it, "Noelle was my mother's name." She said quietly

Snow White smiled sadly, "I'm sure she would be honored having you name your child after her, its such a pretty name." She added

Anya looked over at Snow "Thank you," She whispered

"I didn't know my mother either, all that I have of her is this picture." Snow White said and pulled out her locket before opening it and showing it to Anya. "She died in a chemical fire, a year after I was born from what people said she was one of the nicest people. I don't even know her name..." She said

"I only knew my mother's name beacuse I found a picture of her, that is before my father burned it." She leaned her head back against the wall

Snow White's eyes widened, "My father burned all of my mother's image's too, I only had this because I found it in...his room." She said quietly. She was surprised to know that someone else's father had done pretty much the same things as her's maybe she wasn't so alone anymore.

"Yes well I suppose I'm lucky the picture was the only thing he burned that time." She whispered. Her fingers traced the scar that the oil from the lamp had left behind

Snow White gasped as she saw the scar, "Did your father do that? she asked in horror, knowing quite well what it was like to have a father abuse you.

Anya laughed without humor, "Yes, but trust me this," She gestured to the scar, "Wasn't even the worst." Her eyes darkened, "But I was the one with the last laugh."

Snow White bit her lip, "What do you mean?" She asked, she had an idea of what Anya was hinting at but she wanted to see if she was right.

Anya looked over at Snow, "There's only so much one person can take before they snap." She leaned her head back against the wall, "I don't want to go into detail, but I pretty much had my heart stomped on by a guy I thought loved me." She shook her head, "I was so stupid...I went home to find that my dad was....happy he had a new wife and son. He was smiling and he wasn't drunk. I was just so pissed. Pissed that he took away my childhood and that he made me this untrusting monster, yet he could just start a whole new life." She looked at Snow again, "That's why I'm here. I killed my own father." She closed her eyes, "You know, you think you might feel better after getting revenge, but I still have nightmares about him..."

Snow White looked away, "My own father trained me to be a thief for him, I stole important documents for him. If I didn't do that I'd get whipped, I couldn't leave my home for very long without him becoming aware of my absences. He was killed....and then I was free for two weeks.....then a guard found me and raped me. I uh fainted and woke up in a room all alone. I'm not even sure which of my 'sins' landed me in this hell-hole." She muttered.

"Well it looks like we're in hell, paying for our crimes, though I do find it hypocritical that the Villain is punsihing us for sinning by sinning himself

Snow White couldn't agree more, "So did you have any brothers or sisters?" She asked as she tried to change the subject.

"Nope. Only child." Thank God she added silently. Her father beating her was one thing...

Snow White nodded, "I was an only child too....I met Cindy when I was five though she's like the sister I never had. In fact a lot of people here are like family." She said quietly in a matter of fact tone.

Anya sighed, "I know what you mean. I care about most of the people in here."

Snow White bit her lip as she remembered Eilonwy, she wished she could forget that day...."Its weird isn't it? When I got here, everyone was always nice to me....and they still are." She said quietly, it was interesting that in a place where fear reigned supreme people were still kind.

"Yes and supposedly most of the people in here are sinners. Funny how most of them are nice." Anya smiled

Snow White smiled and leaned back she was starting to feel tired and she yawned. "I hope you don't mind if I go to bed." She said.

Anya smiled, "Not at all."

Snow White smiled sleepily before stretching herself out on the floor and slowly falling asleep.....

Anya sighed and soon sleep claimed her as well...along with her nightmares. It was always the same nightmare and the only time she didn't have it was when she was with Eric

Snow White flinched as a memory slowly crept into her dreams....she was twelve and her father was glaring down at her. "You have failed again..." he growled before pulling out his whip and forcefully whipping her..[i] Snow White woke up with a cry and then looked around her, she shivered the memories still haunted her...

Anya woke up when she heard a noise, she glanced over and saw Snow White, "You have nightmares too?"

Snow White glanced over at Anya and nodded, she sat up and rubbed her eyes. "Normally, they're not this bad but they're about my father....and when he would whip me." She said quietly, her back still ached just from talking about it.

Anya sighed, "Mine are always bad...and they're always the same."

Snow White nodded in sympathy, "Its weird how an event can cause you to have nightmares huh?" She asked.

"Yea..." She whispered. She never told anyone about what she dreamed of

Snow White nodded and barely had time to do anything else as gas filled the room she gasped as it filled her airways. She sank to the floor and passed out.....
