A Sleeping Girl Cannot Lie

"Dimitri.." Charlotte mumbled, lying next to him in his arms.
She was talking in her sleep, completely unaware of what she was saying.
"Dimitri..." she said again, a bit louder this time. It was evident she was dreaming about him.

Dimitri woke up to the sound of his name.. He had been lying asleep next to Charlotte, his arms wrapped around her in his sleep, still cuddling her, and when he woke up he quickly moved away, suprised.
At first he thought that Charlotte was talking to him, but then it became clear she was still asleep. He didn't know whether or not to wake her...

As he moved away she became uneasy, wrinkling her nose and making a grimace showing she didn't like the change.
"I love you.." she muttered, almost inaudiable, but loud enough for him to hear, as he was right next to her.

He turned around.. He already knew this now but it still stung to hear.. Seeing as he didn't want to hurt her.
He touched her arm, trying to wake her up. 'Charlotte..' he said in her ear.. He didn't even know how much sleep they had had, and he wondered whether maybe he should let her sleep and just ignore her, even if it hurt.

She was a heavy sleeper, and once she was asleep not even a firealarm could wake her up. But this time she felt rested and good, and it didn't take long for her to respond to him.
She slowly opened her eyes while yawning, looking in his direction.
"Dimitri? What is it?" she asked confused and a bit sleepy.

[OOC: Yes, basing Char on myself xD And I honestly HAVE slept through a firealarm once xD Thank God it was false alarm... xD]

'Oh.. nothing..' he said slowly. 'You talk in your sleep.' He smiled weakly.
'So, sleep well? I don't think any spiders showed..'

She widened her eyes afraid of what she could have said. She vaguely remembered her dream, and hoped she hadn't said anything embarrasing.
"What... what did I say?" she looked at him before looking around the room.
She couldn't see any spiders, and even the spider guts were gone.
"They're gone," she said and smiled wide at him.

The room was clean... all the spiders were gone. He couldnt' help but feel relieved.
He looked back and noticed her panic. 'Oh, don't worry.. Just said a few things, mostly stuff I couldn't make out.. and my name once or twice.' He smiled teasingly. 'So you dream about me I see?' he joked, deliberately avoiding the fact that she had said she loved him.

Her face went from pale to bright red in the matter of seconds.
"I... I..." she stuttered, not even knowing what to say.
She stared at him for a moment before realizing she was staring, and deciding to look down instead. "I... ehmm.."

She was red again, and he smiled, realising he found it cute.
He quickly stopped smiling and shook his head- he wasn't going to get her hurt, remember?
There was an awkward silence..

"I.. I was just... remembering... happy times and... when we... ehmm...."
She stopped herself, realizing she didn't make sense, desperatly trying to come up with an excuse, but she couldn't. Her mind was blank. She just kept looking down, blushing more by the second.

He realised what she was talking about quite quickly.. although he had been drunk, and always felt bad about it, and therefore wouldn't have thought she would have described it as 'happy times.'
He sighed, not really sure what to say to her.

She heard him sigh, making her feel even worse.
She shut her eyes together and hunched her shoulders, tensening her body.
"Sorry.." she said, still looking down.

'No.. Don't be. I just thought... I don't know.. we left it kind of awkwardly, didn't we?' He knew that he had tried to put it behind them, and in doing so had just not brought it up. However he was now doubtful whether or not that was the best thing to have done.

"Let's just talk about something else," she said and smiled at him, desperatly trying to hide the discomfort and embarrasment she felt inside.
"What do you do for fun in here?"

'No.. I mean, we should talk about it, don't you think? I just.. I don't know. What if we got room changed and never mentioned it? I think.... I don't know. Its up to you. I don't want to make things awkward, thats all, and they probably will be if we don't talk about things.'
He was stumbling on his words but he wanted to get things between them sorted, whatever that meant. He just needed to know where to place her in his head.. and ensure she was ok with everything. Things were different now he knew how she felt, and he was determined not to continue to hurt her.

"Ehmm.. sure," she said hesitantly.
"What do you want to talk about exactly..?" she said, still a bit confused on what was going on inside his head.

He smiled a bit hoplelessly. 'I don't know really... I just thought things would be better if they were spoken.' He sat there. 'I'm not very good at this... Just it happened, and we never spoke about it again, and I don't think you had... well I just thought you might...'
He gave up speaking, just realising he was babbling.

"Oh," she let out, finally understanding what he was talking about.
"Dimitri, I... I..." She what? She didn't know.
There was no way this conversation could get any more awkward.
Suddenly she bent forward and kissed his lips softly.
For a long time after the kiss she did nothing but hover her lips over his, waiting for a reaction while looking into his eyes. She was expecting the worst. But it had been worth it.

When she pulled away he spoke quietly, his lips narrowly away from hers.
'Char.. Charlotte..' he said, suprised and unsure what to do.
But he didn't move away, remaining so close that they were almost sharing breath.

She didn't want to hear whatever he had to say, she just didn't. She wasn't prepared for a rejection, not from him. She wouldn't be able to handle it. So better shut him up before it was too late.
She kissed him again, more passionate this time, not breaking the kiss, but waiting to see if he would return it.

Before he could even try to speak again, he opened his mouth slightly and was kissed by Charlotte again. This time he didn't bother to talk, and just deepened her kiss, leaning against her as he did.

She kept smiling in between the kisses they shared. She was happy. Overly happy. Just because she was with him. Like this. Again. She knew it would only last for a moment, but that was all she was asking.
She pulled her hands behind his back and trailed them up to his hair, where she ran her fingers through it, enjoying the feeling and his lips against hers.
Never in her life had she felt butterflies like this.

As they continued to kiss he brought his hands gently over the bare skin of thighs, and around her waist. He didn't know where she was going with this but for now he didn't seem to mind- and he knew she was happy. He could feel her smile against his lips.

She wasn't going to take this far. She wouldn't want to force him into anything, and after everything that happened with Sinbad, she wasn't ready for anyone to touch her.
She broke the kiss after a while and snuggled up against his chest instead, happy, smiling.

When she broke the kiss he rested his head against hers, hugging her from behind.
'So..' he said quietly. 'How about that...'

She giggled, still happy, and not thinking about what she had just done.
When she did realize though, the realization hit her hard, and the blush spread through her whole face. She still didn't let go, however as she was afraid that she would have to look at his face if she pulled away.
"S-sorry.." she said quickly.

'Why?' he asked curiously, moving his head around to look at her, deliberately brushing his lips against the skin of her shoulder.
They had done this before, hadn't they?
Still, he moved away ever so slightly, noticing she was upset.

"I... I know you don't want this... me... you want her..." she said so gently, it ended in a whisper. She looked down avoiding his gaze. She wasn't regretting any of it, but the embarassment of it all was too much for her not to blush.

He shook his head. 'Hadn't even crossed my mind' he said smiling reassuringly, although now she mentioned it his thoughts went back to them. 'Let me make my own decisions,' he said, 'and don't worry so much.'

Did he really mean that? Had he made a decision? She thought she had simply forced herself on him. For the first time since the kiss, she looked up at him, looking into his eyes.
"Do you... mean that?" she asked hesitantly. She had never really had much confidence, so she felt she needed a confirmation that he wasn't just joking with her.

'Yeah..' he said, before kissing her gently on the cheek.
He rested his head against her. 'You know very well I could have pushed you off me if i wanted to,' he added with a smile.

She smiled and poked him.
"As if," she teased him and laughed.

He laughed. 'You just keep telling yourself that..' he joked.

She knew he could easily take her on. There wasn't any muscles in her body. She had never had to do any work to gain muscles.
"Even if you could... you wouldn't. I know you," she smiled and winked before quickly kissing his lips and pulling away again. She was so tempted to throw herself at him, and yet she was still not too sure if he would change his mind about her.

'Maybe so..' he smiled, 'but don't get too comfortable with that idea. Who knows? I may change my mind..' he said teasingly.
He moved closer to her as he spoke, before kissing her deeply again.

Change his mind.. that was exactly what she was afraid of.
But when he kissed her, she forgot all about it. As their lips met there was nothing in this whole world except from the two of them.
She kissed him back with a passion that had been lurking inside of her for so long, just waiting to get out, but never having the chance.
She moved herself so she was sitting on his lap with her arms around him while kissing him deeply.

He wrapped his arms around her waist, his tounge becoming more demanding as they continued to kiss. Memories of what had happened that night before filled his head.. but he reminded himself he was going to go slow, and eventually he broke the kiss, breathing heavily.

"So you can be fun," she said breathless, teasing him even now.
"Who knew?" she giggled.

'I can be fun..' he said, mocking offence.
He looked at her, not wanting to make her uncomfortable.
'Thank-you' he said quietly, 'for everything', his hands running along her waist as he did so.

She was confused, but blushed at his touched. She saw no need for him to thank her.
"You did just as much for me as I ever did for you," she smiled up at him and touched his cheek gently.

'Are you sure?' he said. He was sure if she wasn't there he would still be in an alleyway somewhere.. but if he hadn't been there for her all she would have was less to worry about.
'Anyways I'm thanking you for now.. I just.. needed to get out of wherever I was in my head.. or I think I'd have ended up going mad..'

"You're always a little mad Dim, get used to it," she laughed.
She wasn't good at taking compliments and gratitude. She just wasn't used to it and didn't know how to react to it.
"But you're more than welcome," she smiled to him.

'Probably..' he said with a smile.
She was still on his lap, and he didn't really know what she wanted to do.

She hugged him tighter and kissed him again, passionatly. She just couldn't get enough of him. She only broke the kiss for a second to whisper his name before she kissed him again, clinging to him as if he was going to disappear any second, because that was exactly what she was scared he was going to do.

Eventually he broke the kiss, trailing his lips along her neck before kissing the indent of her shoulder.

She breathed heavily, not knowing what else to do than cling to him. She would let him do whatever he wanted with her. She was completely and utterly his.

He moved one hands up from her waist until it were resting against her ribs, his thumb brushing the base of her breast. His other hand continued to cup her waist, keeping her close, as he kissed her again.
'Are.. are you ok?' he asked eventually, willing himself to stop at any point. He was doing this for her, but he didn't want to make her uncomfortable. He was still hesistant to go much further, especially after what had happened with Sinbad.

She couldn't help but let out a soft moan. Her body felt like exploding. There were too many emotions and feelings all struggling to get out at the same time, with no way of doing so. She was finally with Dimitri. With the man she loved more than the whole world. The man she would sacrifice her own life for. How could she be any happier than this?
"Never been better," she sighed happily and smiled at him.
