Faith in a Fantasy

Sinbad laughed slightly at her reply. He couldn't believe how close that actually was to the truth.
"Don't worry, it's not as bad as that," he said with a smile.
Or at least it was a little while since that has happened. Though it still hurt to think about that. Because she'd never get back.

"Then what is it?" she asked, her eyes and voice begging him to tell her.

Sinbad looked at her for a little while. He sighed and looked away.
"If you really must know... I think Ariel is breaking up with me," he said in a low, upgiven voice.

"Oh..." she said, feeling the pain on his face, but still feeling selfishly happy for some reason.
"I'm.. sorry..." she said and sat closer, hugging him tight.

Sinbad laughed slightly. Mostly because of how pathetic he felt.
"Yeah... well... I guess that's just how it is," he said and tried to smile. But he could feel it seemed faked.

She reached up and stroked his cheek, making him look her in the eyes. Her face was only inches away from his.
"Don't worry," she smiled.
"She's not worth it if she thinks it's not a mistake to let you go. You will find someone.. promise," she smiled again, wider now.

Sinbad smiled again, but this time it was a real smile, even if it was just a small one.
"Thank you," he said softly.
Sinbad leaned up against the wall again and looked up at the ceiling.
"I guess neither of us has luck with love at the moment," he said and laughed slightly.

"Things will change," she smiled as she sat back against the wall as well and looked at him.
"At least for you."

Sinbad turned slightly and looked at her.
"I'm sure they'll change for you as well," he said with a reassuring smile as he caressed her cheek.
"You'll just have to give it a little time."

She sighed.
"How do you know?" she asked, tired of "giving it time." Tired of waiting for something that never came.

"Well... I don't..." he said and looked her in the eyes.
"But you are such a cute girl. I would be shocked if there isn't someone who is just waiting for you."

She laughed.
"Not really. Right now... all I have is you."
She said it so softly, as if she wasn't even sad about the fact.
She leaned in slowly, hoping that this time he wouldn't stop her.
Hoping that this time he would kiss her.

Sinbad stroke her cheek to stop her.
"But we both know that's not what you really want," he said with a little smile.

She smiled a little.
"Who are you to tell me what I want?" she asked softly.
"Sinbad... I told you the truth yesterday... you really are perfect. Perfect for me..." she whispered the last sentence and leaned in once again, hoping for a different reaction this time.

Sinbad smiled slightly as he leaned closer to her.
"I doubt that," he said before he kissed her on the forehead.

She pouted. She had been rejected. Again. By the same man.
Of course he didn't want her, nobody ever did, but when was it her turn to hold someone close?
"Damnit Sinbad," she mumbled before kissing him herself.

Sinbad felt her lips on his mouth.
He ran his fingers through her hair and looked her in the eyes.
"Are you sure about this?" he asked softly.

No.
"Yes," she whispered back.
She would not let this opportunity pass her again.
She would not let go of the one perfect man that actually wanted her for someone she would never get. She leaned in and kissed him softly again.

Sinbad returned the kiss.
Why had he waited for this. He should just have done it right away.
He moved a little away from her and looked at her. Partly to just admire her face and partly to make sure she wasn't crying again.

She looked back at him. Eyes wild with desire to kiss more, and cheeks as red and warm as the sun itself.

Sinbad moved closer again. He softly kissed her cheek, before he trailed the kisses down to her neck, sucking it lightly.

She moaned gently.
Never again would she reject Sinbad. Never again. He was all she ever wanted. Of course, he would never be Dimitri, but she would never have Dimitri anyway.
"Sinbad.." she mumbled through her moans.

Sinbad leaned in over her, gently pushing her to the floor.
As he kept kissing her, he moved his hand across her bare thigh. He moved his hand inside her panties and gently stroke her clit.

She gasped. She had only known him for three days and he was already...
She couldn't stop blushing, but she didn't know what she should do.
She wasn't ready for this, not at all. But she wouldn't reject him again.
She did nothing but deepen the kiss and pull Sinbad closer to her.

As he continued to kiss her he entered with a finger.
He trailed the kisses to her neck. He sucked and nipped it with his mouth, while he slid another finger into her.
After a little while he drew away. He lifted himself a little away from her and looked at her.

She was partly relieved when he pulled away, but also partly disappointed. It had felt so good, and no one had ever done that to her before.
As she was lying down, her dress lifted up to reveal mostly everything but her breast, all she did was breathe heavily and look up at Sinbad.

Sinbad leaned down and kissed her on the forehead.
"I think that's enough for today," he said with a little smile as he caressed her cheek.

"Can we just... kiss?" she asked gently, not wanting to stop completely.

"Sorry," he said with a sad smile. "It just doesn't feel right right now," he sighed and sat up again.

"But... why not?" she pouted. She had just gotten a tiny taste of Sinbad, and now that she wanted more, he wouldn't give it to her.

He looked at her for a little while.
"Because we don't want the same things." He looked down. He was silent for a little while before he added quietly "and besides Ariel is still my girlfriend."

The last part was obvious, but she couldn't quite grasp what he meant with his first sentence.
"What do you mean we don't want the same thing? What do you want?" she said confused.

Sinbad gave her a little smile.
"It doesn't really matter," he sighed.
He looked away again.
"I have only met 2 girls who wanted the same. And you don't seem anything like them," he added for himself.

She was still confused. Too confused.
"What do you want Sinbad?" she asked again, making it clear she wanted a straight answer this time.

He laid down on his stomach.
"Someone that's not you. Sorry."

He wouldn't even answer her, which hurt her more than the rejection itself. And after what he had just done...
She got up and ran to the bathroom, shutting the door forcefully behind her.

He felt bad when he heard the door shut. Maybe he shouldn't have stopped. Or maybe he shouldn't even have started it.
He thought about going after her, but he figured she might want a little time on her own. Instead he jsut stayed where he was.

She wanted to cry. She had thrown herself after a man she barely even knew and for what? For just another rejection she had known would come even before she met him. Because everyone rejected her. Everyone.
She wanted to cry, but couldn't. She didn't have time. As soon as the bathroom door was shut she felt the sleeping gass fill the room and she was asleep within seconds.
