Faith in a Fantasy

Charlotte awoke slowly, not remembering last night at first.
When she felt Sinbad's bare upper body against her skin the memories started coming back to her. Why had she ever turned him down? Not like Dimitri would ever be hers. Why was she staying faithful to a fantasy?
She sighed and hugged him tighter as she slowly opened her eyes.

Sinbad woke and felt someone on top of him. Ariel was his first thought, but he quickly remembered that it wasn't her.
"Good morning," he said softly when he opened his eyes and saw Charlotte.

"Morning," she said softly and smiled up at him, letting her fingers trail his bare upper body sleepily. "How did you sleep?"

"Hmmm, quite alright," he said with a sleepy smile and ran his hand over her hair.
"And you?"

She thought back to her dream. She had dreamt about that night, when she had finally gotten a taste of what it was like to be with Dimitri. He was partly drunk, and it could in no way be described as romantic, but she had enjoyed every second of feeling her skin against his. Just feeling him.
"Perfect," she said softly and smiled to herself.

"Good," he mumbled, still smiling.
He felt a little drowzy, and since he didn't have anything better to do anyway, he decided to just lay there. There was no reason to hurry up.
He took a deep breath while he kept caressing the back of her head.
"So... any plans for the day?" he asked jokingly. As if there was anything to do in there.

Of all the bodyparts on Sinbad's body, she liked his arms the best. The way he'd hold her, or caress her, or just touch her in a way that made her feel warm and safe and... loved. Even if it was an illusion.
"I'll do anything you want," she said and smiled, not really knowing what there was to do, as she kissed his chest.

He couldn't help but laugh slightly. Anything? That was very unlikely.
He sighed and looked around the room as he thought of things to do. Had he just been with Ariel, then he could at least have.... well, maybe not anymore... Why did everything seem to fall apart?
Why did he even bother anymore. There was no sense to it anyway. There had been a time were he had actually been thankful for being kidnapped. But now, he was beginning to think otherwise. If he lost it all in the end, then it didn't matter anyway.

She looked up at him, waiting for an answer, but all he did was stare into thin air while his facial expression changed for the worse.
"Is... anything wrong Sinbad?" she asked softly.

"Huh?" he exclaimed as her words brought him back to reality again. He looked at her for a little while before he put on a smile.
"No, everything's fine. It's just... I'm a little bored. I mean, it's not like there is much to do in here."

She smiled unconvinced.
"Well then... why don't we find something to do?" she said as she got up from his chest and jumped to her feet. She was usually always this jumpy and eager, but this time, jumping up so fast made her vision blurry and for a second everything went black before it turned to normal. She had to hold herself up against the wall to keep from falling down.

"Sure, why not."
He watched her stand up. He noticed she was shaking slightly as she stood up.
"Are you alright?" he asked worried. "You shouldn't stand up too quickly."

"Yeah, I'm fine now," she said and laughed before kissing his cheek.
"Thank you for worrying about me," she smiled.
"So... what exactly do you wanna do?" she smiled wider and winked at him.

"You're welcome," he said and smiled.
He thought about her question for a little while.
{OOC: "There's not really anything to do in here but you, Charlotte." I actually considered writing that xD }
"Do you know any more games we could play, maybe?" he suggested.

"No..." she said hesitantly. There were a couple of games, but none that would keep her from doing the same mistake she did yesterday when she was sent to the bathroom.
"You?"

"No, not really," he sighed, slightly disappointed. He had hoped she would have some ideas.
He sat with his back leaning against the wall.
"... maybe we could just talk a bit?"

"Sure, talking is always fun," she laughed.
"Or at least better than the alternative of doing absolutely nothing."
She sat down next to him, realizing she didn't know what to talk about.
"So... what do you want to talk about?"

"Maybe you could tell me something about yourself. Like where you grew up and such."

"I grew up in America. Though I have no idea if we're still in America or not," she laughed.
"Would be fun if we weren't, I've never been out of the country before," she smiled.
"How about you?"

"I actually never thought about where we are located now. But I'm from England. So he has collected people from all over the world it seems."

"You're british?!" she exclaimed, surprised she hadn't picked up on the accent, but he seemed to have a rather americanized accent.
"That's so cute!" she squeeled and giggled.

"Yeah, I am...Uhm... thanks", he said and blushed slightly.
"What is it like in America? Isn't it rather big?"

"Big... but isolated," she said and shrugged. So many people surrounded her every single day, and yet, she couldn't help but feel... lonely. Even lonelier than when she was all alone in her room.

[OOC: Oooooh Sinbad, you manwhore. Hehe, haven't changed a bit since we were roomies. XD]

{OOC: I have to agree with Ylva. Sinbad wasn't this bad when the RP started. You guys have corrupted me <.<
But right now he isn't doing anything >.< }

"I see," he said softly. "I guess sometimes it just get too big. So it can be hard to feel that you are really a part of it."

She smiled. That was just how she felt.
"Exactly," she said softly and looked up at him.
"What was it like to grow up in England?"

"It was... ehm.... kinda boring. I spent quite a lot of time in our house. Both me and my brother were homeschooled, so we never really got much out."

"Me too," she sighed, but smiled a little.
"I didn't know we had so much in common," she laughed.

Sinbad smiled slightly.
"No, I guess we have more in common than what I first thought."
He turned his head and looked at her.
"But you were an only child, right?"

"Yeah," she nodded sadly.
"And you have a brother?"

"I had a brother," he said and faked a bigger smile.
"What about pets?"

She wanted to ask what had happened, but he switched the subject too quickly, and she figured it was best to leave it alone. Touchy subject.
"None really, though I always wanted a puppy or a kitten.." she sighed thinking back to all the times she had glanced in the window for the pet shop when she was a kid.
"How about you?"

"No, I never had any pets."

"Lonely, isn't it? When you don't even have pets, you just wish... someone... would be there for you..."

Sinbad smiled and let out a little sigh. "I guess sometimes it is a bit lonely. Though I never realy missed having a pet. I actually got a dog in the house when I moved out."
- But I could have lived without that annoying thing, he added in his head.

She smiled, but the smile quickly changed.
"Sinbad... you've been acting weird ever since I.. you... you saw me in the bathroom... if this is about what I did, then... I don't know... I'm sorry..." she mumbled softly.

"What you....?" he mumbled for himself.
He thought back to the night before.
- ... Oh, that thing...
He hadn't really thought much about it. At first he had been embarrashed of just walking in on her, but it hadn't taken long for him to forget and instead think of other things.
"N-no, it's fine. You shouldn't feel bad about something like that."

"I... I know I shouldn't have... specially not with you in the next room. I just... I couldn't... I can't help myself with you..." she looked down and blushed badly. "It won't happen again..." she mumbled.

Why was she apologizing for that. As if he would ever apologize for doing it. It wasn't his fault that there was always someone in the other room, since they were kidnapped.
Wait... It had been because of him? He hadn't even thought about that before. He just thought he had captured her in the wrong moment.
"Uhm... We all have needs, I guess," he said and looked away.

She looked up at him when he looked away, stealing a glance.
"I'm sorry... it's wrong thinking about you... like that... when I know you have a girlfriend..." she looked down again blushing more than ever, secretly wishing he was single.

It was wrong because he had a girlfriend? He had never even considered that. And even now, he didn't see it that way. As long as it was in the mind, then it couldn't be wrong.... could it? No, of course not.
He looked at her without turning his head. She looked so cute when she blushed.
He turned his head and gently patted her on the head.
"I told you it was fine. Don't feel bad about it," he said softly and smiled.

She looked up with the same confused puppy look, her cheeks still glowing red.
"But then... why are you acting so... down? Did anything happen?" she asked curious, forgetting for a second what they had just talked about.

"Uhm... well..." he said while thinking about whether or not he should tell her what Ariel had said on the speaker.
"Don't worry, it has nothing to do with you or what you did," he said and smiled at her while he continued to pat her on the head.

"I still want to know if I can make you feel any better," she said pleading, now having confirmed that something was on his mind.

"You are so cute," he said and laughed slightly.
"Don't worry, I'll be just fine."

"Please Sinbad..." she said softly.
"If you don't tell me, I'll be worrying sick about what it might be... and my mind have a way of always imagining the worst possible situation," she laughed slightly.

"And what you the worst possible situation be in your head," he asked curious.

"Hmm... maybe that someone you loved... ehmm... passed away... or something..." she laughed, realizing how stupid that sounded.
