A Simply Visitor

John opened the door to his room, letting Sinbad in.
He remembered Odette was still lying naked on the bed, and before Sinbad had the chance to walk far enough in to see her, John rushed over to her and covered her up with a blanket.
"Cover up your highness, you have a visitor."

Odette turned her head away as soon as she heard the door start to open. She jumped when she felt the blanket against her skin.

'I have a visitor?' she asked and looked up at him, wondering who would actually want to come and see her, 'who is it?'

Sinbad followed John to his room. He studied the place as he walked. It was weird to see so much of it.
He entered John's room. He noticed that John suddenly sped up, but Sinbad took his time and looked around.

"Hey Odette," he said with a little smile when he got far enough to see her lying on the bed. She seemed in a lot better condition than the last time he had seen her.

"I'll... leave you to alone," he said bluntly and walked out the door, careful to lock it behind him. He'd just gass the room when it was time for Sinbad to leave.

'Hi ..' she said quietly, turning away from both of them. She stayed silent until John spoke and she heard the door close behind him.

'What are you doing here?' she asked, still not looking at him.

"Uhm... well.." he started as he walked closer. He wondered why she wouldn't look at him. Had he done something wrong?
"I asked John if I could see you... and then he brought me here."
He sat down on the side of the bed.
"I was worried about you."

'Why would he do that?' she asked, wondering if this was some sort of trick.

'I don't deserve to be worried about ..' she whispered and turned onto her side, her bare back facing him as she remembered what had happened since she last saw him.

Why would John let him see Odette? He wasn't sure. And to be honest, he didn't really cared. He was able to see her, then it didn't matter why.

"Well, I think you do," he sighed. "And I was really worried."
He looked at her. Why did she refuse to look at him?
"Is everything alright?" he asked concerned.

She couldn't help but smile at his words, but she was too ashamed about what had happened to her at the hospital to look him in the eye.

She shook her head slowly, unable to speak as she felt her eyes sting with tears. As soon as she thought about that night again, she couldn't stop the images from crowding her mind.

He placed his hand on her arm and caressed it as he leaned in on her. He couldn't see her entire face, but it was clear that she was sad.
"Is it something you want to tell me about?" he asked in a soft voice.

'I ..' she stopped, she wasn't just going to blurt out what happened to her, was she? No .. she wasn't sure if she even wanted to tell him at all. But the longer she stayed silent about it, the worse it would be for her.

'I was .. free ..' she whispered slowly, deciding to start from the beginning, 'or at least .. I thought I was ..'

When she stopped the first time, he wasn't sure if he should say something. But before he made up his mind she started talking again. He listenened until she stopped for the second time. He remained silent for a while. Then he decided to say something.
"Free?" he said in a low, soft yet slightly confused voice. "I'm not sure I understand what you are trying to say."

'I was out of this place, with other people .. I could see the sky again,' she laughed a little at how the things she used to take for granted seemed so important now, 'I thought maybe .. I hoped .. all of this had been a bad dream .. that none of it had happened, at least that way you and the others were safe as well ..' she paused as she remembered how quickly her thoughts of freedom were shattered, 'but then I saw John and .. and your shirt and I .. I ..' she lowered her voice, 'I should have realised that being in that hospital was only the beginning of my nightmare ..'

Sinbad smiled at the first few sentences.
Being in here really did change your view on ordinary things. Things you'd just take for granted started to mean so much.
But his smile disappeared again when she continued.
It sounded like she wanted to say more, so he just remained silent and waited for her to continue.

'That night, after the surgery I .. I had a visitor ..' she stopped, reaching up to touch the bandages that were still around her neck. She removed them, tracing her finger across the knife wound that ran across her skin, 'he did this to me .. told me to be quiet .. I tried to move .. but he injected me with .. with something ..' she felt the tears fall down her cheeks as she recounted what happened, everything still so vivid in her head, 'he's a doctor .. they're supposed to help you .. not hurt you, right? .. I can still feel his .. his hands on my body .. I wanted to scream .. to fight .. but all I could do was watch ..' she whispered and buried her face in the pillow to try and quieten her sobs.

Sinbad frowned a bit when he saw the mark from a cut and Odette continued her story.
Rape was really such a horrible thing. And to think that he had... no, that wasn't important now. This was about Odette.
"Oh Odette." He stopped. He wasn't sure what to tell her. He couldn't change what had happened, and he had no idea how to make her feel better in that moment.
"I'm really sorry," he whispered.

'The worst part was ..' she started, turning onto her back again and looking up at him for a moment, '.. I was all alone ..' she laughed through her tears, 'I was actually relieved when I saw John sitting at my bedside because ..' she looked away, 'because he was the only way I was ever going to see you again ..'

He looked at her when she looked up at him. She was so sad. So vulnerable with the tears in her eyes. In that moment he wished more than anything that he could have been there with her. That he could have done something to prevent it.

He smiled a little at her last sentence. For a while he remained silent and just looked at her.
He moved a hand to her cheek and gently turned her head so she faced him. "Then why do you keep looking away now that I'm here?" he asked in a soft, jokingly voice.

She blushed as he put his hand on her cheek, resting her hand on top of his as she looked up at him, 'because after all that .. after eveything I ..' she squeezed her eyes shut, quickly moving her hand to her side again, 'I'm ashamed of myself .. I don't deserve to have you here with me ..'

"Look at me," he said in a soft voice and looked her in the eyes. For a moment he remained silent.
"What happened... it wasn't you fault. You couldn't do anything about it. You have absolutely no reason to be ashamed."

She looked up at him for a moment before smiling slightly, he always seemed to be able to find a way to make her feel better.

'I can't stop thinking about what happened ..' she whispered as she felt more tears fall down her cheeks, 'I need a way to get him out of my head ..'

Sinbad moved a little closer to her.
"It's gonna be alright," he said almost as quiet as a whisper. "He's not here. He can't hurt you anymore. You are safe now," he said and wiped away some of her tears. But new tears quickly made it impossible to tell the difference.
"It's just you and me..."

She nodded slowly before reaching out and putting her arms around his neck, pulling him closer to whisper in his ear.

'I think I could forget .. if I have you here with me ..'

"Don't worry. I won't leave you alone."
At least not of his own free will. He wondered how long the Villain would allow him to stay. He shut his eyes. He didn't want to think about him. Not now at least.
He opened his eyes again and stared directly into Odette's eyes.
Sinbad leaned closer and placed a soft kiss on her lips.
"I'll be here as long as you need me."

She smiled up at him, blushing lightly after he kissed her. She wiped away the last of her tears with her fingertips before reaching up to kiss him gently again.

'Thank you, I don't know what I'd have done without you here with me ..' she whispered as she rested her hands against his chest, laughing suddenly when she remembered ..

'Sorry about your shirt ..' she said as she grinned up at him, 'I'm not quite sure what happened to it after I saw it at the hospital ..'

Sinbad got a little goosebumps as he felt her fingertips against his bare skin. He looked down his chest. He had completely forgotten about the shirt.
He laughed by her remark.
"It's okay. I'm sure I'll be able to manage without it. As long as it was useful while you had it, then I'm satisfied."
He moved his body a little, so he was lying next to her in the bed.

'It was,' she said with a smile as she turned onto her side so she was facing him again. She rested her hand on his arm, 'I still feel bad for having borrowed it ..' she turned away for a second, embarrassed, 'and then losing it ..' she looked back up at him, concern in her eyes, 'you weren't too cold or anything without it, were you?'

She leant her head against his shoulder as she looked down at herself and sighed, 'I hope I get at least something to put on when I get moved ..' she smiled to herself as she snuggled in closer to him, 'but for now I think I'll be ok ..'

Sinbad smiled at her. "Don't worry. The cold has never really affected me much, so it isn't a problem."


Sinbad followed her look down her body. It was a good thing she had got professionel help.
"I would have offered you to borrow my pants or something if you were cold, but if I continue that way, I might end up with nothing," he joked.
Sinbad tralied his fingers over her collarbone. "Before I forget.... Dimitri has your necklace... So you don't have to worry about that."

[ OOC: Me the thief? You seem to know a lot of them then P: ]

She blushed at his touch, closing her eyes as he spoke.

'He does?' she asked, confused, 'how do you know that?' she raised her head and looked at him as she started to panic, 'how did he even know it was taken?'

When he heard the panic in her voice, he frowned. He should have told her that. But there was no going back now.
"Uhm... well, I know because I was roomed with him and Ariel at the moment," he replied vague. He didn't want to go in to too many details. If Odette liked Dimitry, then he was in no position to say anything bad about him. At least not in front of Odette.
"And how could he know...." He paused for a little while. Should he tell her that he had probably seen it on the TV? Hadn't she guessed it already? Then there was no point in trying to hide it. "I think it was showed on the TV."

'So he saw everything ..' she whispered to herself as she let her head fall back onto the pillow again. She let her hands wander under the blanket, resting them gently against her stomach as she stared up at the ceiling in silence.

So, did that mean everyone else saw what happened as well? She started to wonder how Dimitri had reacted to the broadcast, she remembered all the blood .. did he know she was ok .. if she was even still alive. Surely Sinbad would have told him .. She sighed as a thought crossed her mind, did he even care at all ..

'What happened .. when you were all together?' she asked hesitantly as she sat up a little, leaning on her elbow as she rested her hand against his shoulder. She turned to him, a pleading look in her eyes telling him that she wanted to know what happened no matter how bad it might be.

Sinbad looked at her. That look. She really wanted to know. He turned his head away.
"Well.... Ariel really regrets what she's doing. I know it doesn't really change anything.... I just thought you should know. And then..."
He paused for a little while. He tried to form the words in his head.
"Dimitri was really mad and we.... we got in a fight," he said ashamed.

When he said Ariel's name, she suddenly became angry. She bit her lip, trying to calm herself down as she didn't want to start an argument with him, especially not about her.

'Please, don't say her name around me ..' she said quietly, 'I don't care how much she regrets it .. no matter what she does .. what she says .. I .. I could never forgive her for what she did to me and my .. to our ..' she stopped as her voice broke. She lowered her head, letting her hair fall in front of her face as she tried to blink back the tears, feeling her heart break as she was reminded once again of what she had lost.

She slowly looked back at him, tears in her eyes as she asked, 'why were you two fighting?'

"Sorry," he whispered. It was understandable that she was mad at Ariel. What she had done was.... a terrible thing.

He looked at Odette, but quickly turned his head away again. He felt like the bad guy. He couldn't look her in the eyes.
"He attacked A-.... her. I couldn't just watch. I mean, she's my.... girlfriend."
Why did he say it as if he was ashamed of it? It made him feel even worse. Not just towards Odette, but towards Ariel as well. He shouldn't be ashamed of calling her his girlfriend. That wasn't right.

'He attacked her?' she repeated, 'he wouldn't do that without a good ..' she trailed off.

'Did he do that because of me?' she thought as she watched Sinbad in silence for a moment, 'though it's not like she didn't deserve it ..'

'Even if she is, she .. she took away an innocent life without even a second thought and .. and you still defended her?' she said, more upset than angry. She just didn't understand how he .. or anyone .. could do that.

"But it was my fault."
Sinbad sat up and turned his back to her. For a while he didn't say anything.
"She's really a nice girl. If I hadn't screwed up, she wouldn't have.... and you wouldn't be.... and nothing would have..."
He wasn't sure what he was trying to say. He wanted to say so many things at once that he couldn't finish his sentences.
After trying and failing to finish just a single sentence, he sighed. "I'm really sorry," he whispered.

'But you didn't force her to ..' she stopped as he moved away.

She sat up carefully, not even caring when the blanket fell off of her and onto the bed as she bit her lip, feeling the pain in her stomach again. She moved closer to him, pressing her chest against his back and resting her hands on his shoulders to support herself.

'You have no reason to be sorry,' she whispered in his ear, 'sometimes people just aren't who you think they are ..'

Sinbad got a little tense when he felt her on his back and shoulders.
He listened to her words. Was she trying to tell him that Ariel wasn't the cute girl he thought he knew? That couldn't be. he knew her. This new her.... wait, new her. Did that mean she'd remain that way? No, it had to just be a phase. Right?
"... she'll go back to being her good old self soon, won't she?" he said out loud wihtout really thinking about it.

'You can sit there and pretend that she will, but you saw her, didn't you?' she said quietly, not just because she hated Ariel for what she had done, but also because she felt that he deserved better. Better than someone who was capable of torturing someone so easily, 'if she was willing to do that to me .. without even being forced .. how do you think she'll act the next time she gets it into her head that you've done something wrong ..'

"It's just..." He paused. He had started the sentence without really knowing what he would say. He moved his hand to his shoulder and placed it on Odette's. It was nice to have her there.
"I know she went too far.... way too far... but..."
He remembered the look in Ariel eyes, when he had seen her in the TV.
He turned his head slightly and looked at Odette.
"... I just don't know what to do..."

She looked into his eyes for a moment before reaching over and softly kissing him on the lips. She pulled away slightly, hovering her lips over his for a moment before slowly sitting back again.

'I can't help you with that ..' she said quietly before taking his hand and gently placing it on his chest, over his heart, 'but I'm sure you'll be able to figure it out ..' she kissed him on the cheek, 'just give it time ..'

Sinbad sat in silence and looked at Odette. Why was she so... understanding. He couldn't help but smile a little. The things she said... No, the way she said it... it reminded him of...
He could feel his eyes get watery, when his thoughts crossed the grave in the garden. He blinked and turned his head away.
"Yeah... time," he whispered.

When he turned away, she put her arms around him, pulling him closer to try and comfort him, 'what's wrong?' she asked, concerned.

Sinbad turned his head and looked at her for a little while.
"It's just.... you remind me of someone I used to know..."

'Used to ..' she said quietly, wondering what could have happened.

'Were they important to you?' she asked carefully.

"She was...."
His whore? That was all she really was, but it just didn't do her justice.
"She meant a lot to me," he said with a sad smile.
"John took me to her grave before he let me visit you," he said as he turned his head and became a little distant.
"She.... she died not so long ago... She was very sick..."

She felt herself tear up a little as he spoke, seeing how upset he was she hugged him tightly, 'I'm so sorry ..' she whispered softly in his ear before gently nuzzling against his neck, 'is there anything I can do for you ..'

He faced her again.
"It cheers me up just to be here with you," he said with a smile on his lips.
"So as long as you don't kick me out, then I can't ask for more," he said jokingly.

[OOC: Gawd Sinbad, you're always trying to steal my women! D: I think the only ones we havn't fought about so far is Ariel and Pocahontas. Mostly because John despise Ariel, and you don't even know Poca o.e Mehh, I don't mind though, you know I always get my way anyway ]

The door shut quietly, but enough for both of them to realize John was there.
He saw the scene on the bed, and couldn't help but feel a bit.. angry. But for what? He didn't even know.
"Time to go back Sinbad," he said calmly.
"Got you a new roommate too, hope you'll like her," he said and smiled, seemingly friendly for anyone who didn't know better.
He chucked a key at him, signalizing for him to get the hell out.

[OOC: TIME TO RP WITH CHARLOTTE SINBAD! Are you as excited as I am? Impossible! ]

She smiled back at him, 'then I'm glad I can be as much help to you as you are to me,' she said as she gently caressed his arm.

'I could never kick you out ..' she exclaimed in mock horror, turning towards the door for a second before looking back and playfully sticking her tongue out at him, '.. I think the door is locked.'

She jumped slightly, gripping Sinbad's arm when she heard the door close.

'So soon ..' she said quietly as she looked from John to Sinbad, the sadness of having to be seperated from him again clear in her voice.
