The Painful Truth [TV Broadcast]

The TV was turned on to show Dimitri pushing Odette to the floor.
She was covered in blood, but that didn't seem to bother any of them as Odette pulled him closer and kissed him passionatly.
Her fingers were all over his body, feeling him up as she kept pulling him closer to her.
"I love you," she whispered just barely loud enough to hear.
The devastating truth however came when Dimitri ran his fingers through her hair smiling as he said:
"I love you too."

(ooc: I know Cody will be shocked by seeing this because Jane just told him that he was a nice person. And then he sees this video.)

Jane was sitting on the floor, absent-mindedly running her fingers through Cody's hair. It was dirty. She frowned slightly. She should wash it for him. Though, he did enjoy being dirty. She could take the boy out of the Outback, but never take the Outback out of the boy so to speak.

Oh how she longed for home. There was such sadness in the pit of her stomach, it was returning again, even now that she had Cody safe by her side. Her mind wandered to Dimitri. Where was he? Was he safe? She had told Cody about him, and she was determined that the three of them would escape, with as many others as possible.

Then the TV flashed on, did she dare watch? Was it another brutal murder?

Dimitri and Odette. She felt her heart fall into her stomach. Who was going to die?

"I love you...

He wouldn't....

I love you too...

The kiss. Jane felt hot tears spring to her eyes. Nice girls never got ahead did they? She felt sick. So it was a lie. Her love of Dimitri, was as fleeting as the hope of escape. She felt the tears now, she had barely cried here... But now- she felt betrayed... Again.

She shook her head, trying to clear away the tears. How could she be betrayed? Dimitri and Odette had history, Jane and Dimitri... Well they shared only a small birthday kiss and tortued souls.

She sniffled, continuing to run her fingers through Cody's hair.

No... They weren't dying. But she might.
