Kayla was taken aback, she frowned at the screen and pulled a slightly confused expression, tears still wet and fresh on her cheeks. "It's what you said..." Kayla paused for thought, it was taking her a while to process what Ariel had just said, she had never shouted at her like that, not her A. Things change. No. Not A. Please not A. She wants to be with Sinbad. The idea that her A was now changed into someone that swore at her made her heart tear itself in two, she looked helpless towards the camera and held tight onto the phone. Grow up! You are no longer fourteen. "Tell him you care A! Tell him you want him! Why don't you tell him when it's so obvious you do?!" Her voice was slightly raised but she had never been able to shout fully at Ariel, unless it was over something major.
All of a sudden, her eyes caught onto a glint in the bottom corner of the screen... a necklace? Her necklace. Smashed.
Kayla's eyes widened, after she had used it to prove her love and how even now, after she presumed her dead, she still wore it, it was now laying broken. Broken. Like her own heart. Doubling over, Kayla started to lose her breath, panic and sadness overwhelmed her as she leant against the wall for support, her lungs began screaming for oxygen as she struggled to breathe. Hands shaking, she almost dropped the phone.
Asthma Attack.
No, not here, not now. She couldn't breathe. She needed to calm down. She needed to stop working herself up. Tears slid from her eyes as her breaths became heavy. "A--" She managed to stutter as she slided down the side of the wall, still clutching the phone. What should she do? Let herself starve from oxygen? Let herself die.
