GAHHHH I DON'T KNOW IF I'M HAPPY OR TERRIFIED!!! @_@

So as you all probably know, while I have friends...

(If you listened to my TAR related rant on youtube the other day... my brother found it and he was like 'jeez Rachel you made it sound like you had no life at all xDD).... SO I wanted to assure ya'll I did indeed have a social life but, it got much better once I began to ignore TAR. xD

ANYWAY, so you all know I have never had a boyfriend, or even a boy really consider me to be more than a friend or anything. (Well these two guys in high school that I considered my friends, we were like the 3 Muskeeteers, they both had crushes on me... I know because they both told me and our little group relationship got really awkward after that. But they don't count lol)

So I met this guy, he's 22 and in college and I met him because he was an assistant coach on my mother's middle school track team this year, and I always help out anyway.

So out of the blue I got a friend request from him on facebook, and he was always kind of flirty with me, but I just figured I completely scared him off because I'm clueless with flirting and I figured that my jokey, kind of wierd self was strange to him....

So anyway, flash forward, he messages me like every day, which creeped me out! xD I know it's wierd, but I feel like I've trained myself to always be creeped out by boys at this point, because I'm fairly certain I've never evolved from the middle school 'boys are gross' mindset, as I was pretty focused on studies from 5 - 12th grade. xD

So tonight he gave me his number and I gave him mine... This has never happened before... he's pretty cute... But... I just don't know what to do. o.O I feel like when it comes to boys I'm still such a baby and like... if he asks me out for coffee or something... I don't even drink coffee! T_T

Does anyone have any advice on how to react with guys and/or grow up? xD (I'm eighteen guys, I swear! lol I just am awkward around guys that want to be more than a friend. o.O )

Well, first up, be careful! Don't want anything happening to you.

Secondly, don't jump the gun, stay calm and cool.

Thirdly, have fun. If he asks you out for coffee, go for it, just let him know (maybe after you get to the coffee place) you actually don't drink coffee XD You can get hot chocolate instead. If you do let him know that you don't drink coffee before you two actually go out, tell him you'd still liked to go (if you actually do want to go), because obviously he just wants to be with you and get to know you. X3

My bf, before we started dating, would be talking to me on facebook and tell me he's bored and that I should come hang out XD He bragged me with buying me dinner one time lol (though dinner didn't go so well... stupid taco bell for not getting the order right -_-) But it was still fun being in his truck with him and laughing as he messed with the stirring wheel while parked in the drive through XD He's so cute <33

I agree with Cindy: My first piece of advice? Calm down. Don't over-analyze the situation, just take it as it comes. This is awesome, he likes you! And you like him? He's cute Give the guy a chance! And he's older, which means he'll act more mature (probably, haha) than annoying younger guys. I'm 19 and I'm currently dating a 21 year old. He's amazing, mature, romantic, funny, everything. We've been friends since my sophmore year of high school though, which I suppose is a bit of a difference. But I think you shouldn't take his consistent messaging as weird, but it's flattery! You're on his mind and so he wants to talk to you and get to know you more.

As for going out with him... like Cindy said, you don't have to like coffee xD Order a hot chocolate, or a smoothie-type drink if they sell them. It's not so much about the drink as it is the atmosphere, and coffee shops are typically laid-back and relaxing; a great place to sit down and talk!

Keep your cool around him. You don't have to over-think anything, just be yourself. That's why he likes you, right?
As for the flirting... I think the more time you spend with him, the more natural it will come to you. I remember freshman year of high school I was SUCH an awkward person when I'd try to flirt, because I wasn't very good at it because I'd get nervous and such xD But sophmore I dated this guy, Keith, and we dated all of sophmore and junior year, up until right before senior year. Needless to say it was a very serious relationship, and it was a great experience. And after that, I was quite a good flirt. And flirting is a lot of fun too, once you get the hang of it! As long as you don't of course go overboard and give a guy the wrong idea, hehe.

I say you give him the chance, remember to be yourself and HAVE FUN! Let him have his chance to prove that he's not like any stupid, immature younger guys, that he is a mature college guy. And like Cindy said as well, be careful. I'm sure the guy is great, and trustworthy... but make sure he can prove to you that you can trust him, in case you decide to start a relationship with him. You can never be too sure with guys! But I'm sure he's just fine

I hope you keep me updated, I wanna hear all about.. whatever you guys do, whether it be coffee, a movie, whatever!

be yourself trust me dont try to impress him cause it backfires just talk about things you guys can find in common with each other :-) dont be shy or quiet for long pauses cause that usually does not work if you make him laugh thats a plus dont stress or worry either think of it this way

I agree with everyone xD Just be yourself. If you try to impress him or try to make him think you're something else than you really are, you'll regret it later ._.'' At some point in the relationship you'd have to show him how you really are anyway, so why not now? xD I think you're an AMAZING person, and I can't find any reason as to why he wouldn't like you ^^

BTW: It's just as important that YOU like HIM! I understand if you're excited and all because he's the first guy and everything, but trust me, do NOT go for the first and best! xD Give him a chance, but if you can't feel the spark, and you figure out he's not the type of guy you want to be in a relationship with, don't give him false hope. I did that with the first guy who liked me, and it ended up being so awkward, I had to make up excuses not to kiss him, 'cause it always grossed me out <.< >.> Needless to say, we didn't date for long... xD

@ Villian That is kind of happened with my x fiance....I almost married him O.o he was my first everything though I figured no other guy would ever love me...so yeah

I wanted to ask you guys about this again.

SO he and I have been texting, and tonight I glanced down at my phone thought 'huh he hasn't texted me tonight. I wonder if he is sleeping. Would he be annoyed if I said hi?'

Then 30 seconds later he texted me 'hi'.

o.O

So I told him that and said he must be psychic and he said 'no I just like talking to you'

SO I said ' I like talking to you too! And you can tell because generally I hate texting and I ignore them'

But I'm nervous that he will start to think that I like him, and I really don't want a relationship. T_T

Well, stating that, you do seem to be flirting. Have you ever told him that you're not really looking for a relationship right now? I mean, in person. If you haven't, well, you should probably say it like, just a passing comment.

You know, not a "dead serious" voice, but in a "casual" voice. Does that make sense? Let me know if it doesn't; it's late and I've had a tiring day, so my words may not make too much sense right now XP

lol It's okay, it's always hard to tell if you're actually flirting or not. Some people might take you just being nice as flirting (people are straaaange). So, just be casual and cool.
