[TTW w/ Room 7] ~ Charlotte and Snow White

[OOC: So me and Snow thought it would be fun to talk just the two of us ^^]

Charlotte wasn't tired. Not at all. Shang had fallen asleep hours ago, but Charlotte couldn't sleep. The pain and heartbreak and desperation Dimitri had thrown her way came back to her every time she was alone. She wouldn't tell him, but every time Shang fell asleep, and she was alone again... the pain came rushing back.
She was on the edge of crying, and she was rapidly blinking to keep the tears back. She didn't want to be alone anymore. She needed to talk to someone. Anyone.
She knocked at the wall closest to her.
"Hello?" she said, but her throat was choked after almost crying. She coughed to clear it up and tried again.
"Hello? Is anyone there?" she asked carefully, clear now.

Snow White looked over and saw Wendy was still asleep, she heard someone's voice on the other wall, the same place where Shang had talked to her. It didn't sound at all like Shang, so she figured it was his new room mate, "Hey, you ok?" She asked.

She smiled. Finally she didn't have to be alone anymore.
"Yeah, I'm great, just can't seem to fall asleep," she laughed.
"How about you?"

Snow White gave a small laugh, "You and I seem to be having the same problem, so I hate to bother you....but are you roomed with Shang?" She asked, trying not to sound too hopeful.

She smiled widely.
"Yeah, I am! You must be Snow!" she said happily, and maybe a bit too excited.
"He's been talking so much about you!"

Snow White couldn't stop the smile that spread against her face when she heard that, "Oh, I'm sure half the time he's exaggerating. How is he?" She asked eagerly. She was relieved to hear news about Shang, here in this place....anytime she could hear anything about him it made her well....happy.

"He's sleeping now," she said happily.
"I think he's pretty exhausted after today," she said and giggled thinking about how much fun they had had.

For some reason when she heard that, Snow White felt a flash of jealousy but she quickly brushed it away. "Oh, how come?" She asked.

"We've been playing games all day," she said and laughed like a little girl.
Shang was by far the most fun roommate she'd ever had in here.
"He knows how to make a boring place fun," she said and smiled, even if Snow White couldn't see it she was sure she could hear it in her voice.
"How about you? Who's your roommate?" she asked curious to see if it was anyone she knew.

Snow White smiled as she remembered the meditation that she had learned from Shang, "Oh um well my room mate is Wendy she's really nice. I'm happy that you and Shang are getting along, I have to admit I was starting to worry that he might be with someone not as friendly." She admitted.

She couldn't help but laugh thinking back to how she had thought she was the one who ended up with a bad roommate.
When she calmed down, her mind went back to what Shang had told her earlier that day. He really loved Snow White. There was nothing she wanted more than someone to love her truely. Snow White was truely lucky.
"You're really lucky to have him," she said softly with a slight sigh thinking back to Dimitri again.

Snow White's eyes softened when she heard that she could feel a slight frown come to her face, "Was there someone in your life too?" She asked curiously. She knew she probably shouldn't pry....but she knew what it was like to have your heart broken.

"No," she laughed bitterly.
"He was never really in my life."
No matter how much I wanted him to be...

Snow White could feel sympathy well up in her, "I....had my heart broken once....I'm not saying I know what its like to have that person not be in your life.....but I do know what's it like to feel the pain when that person just walks away." She said sadly as she thought about Phillip.

She wished it helped that Snow knew what she went through, but it didn't. Nothing did.
"Well, I won't bother you with that," she said and tried to laugh it off.
"How long have you known Shang?" she asked to change the subject.

Snow White could feel that sympathy come back again and wished that she could help her, "Well we've known each other for a few weeks. It all started I think when he gave me his cloak to keep me warm one night." She said with a reminiscent laugh. She smiled just remembering it.

She giggled loudly remembering how he had used that very same cape to support her back after she hurt it.
"Sounds like a really romantic story," she said dreamingly.

Snow White laughed, "Well thank you.....I feel bad for not asking earlier what's your name?" She asked, she did indeed feel guilty about that.

She smiled, she hadn't even noticed that she hadn't asked her before now.
"I'm Charlotte," she said happily.

Snow White smiled, "Well Charlotte its a pleasure to meet you." She said warmly and truthfully. "So who else have you been roomed with?" She asked curiously.

Her memory weren't the best, but she decided to list the one's at the top of her mind.
"Well, there was Naveen.. I think that was his name," she giggled.
"Then this woman I can't remember the name of, but she was really nice. Sinbad..." she blushed, but quickly shook it off.
"Uhmm.. and Odette," she said flatly, not wanting to remember her time with Odette.
"And.. uhmm... Dimitri..." she said softly, quietly, as if she was in her own little daze, almost forgetting she was talking to Snow White.

Snow White smiled, "Oh so you were with Sinbad huh? How is he doing? And Naveen....I haven't heard from him in awhile, is he ok?" She asked. She didn't mention Dimitri or Odette, she had a feeling that Dimitri was the guy that Charlotte had been with.

"Well, I havn't seen Naveen since I first got here, so I wouldn't know," she laughed.
"But Sinbad is doing... ehmm... like always..." she said, slightly trying to avoid talking about him.

Snow White almost laughed again, "Well that's good to hear, its always good to know that the people you know are safe." She quietly admitted. She worried constantly for everyone's safety...because here in this place it you never knew when you would see a loved one again.

A lump stuck in Charlotte's throat and she could not utter a word.
What if it was true? What if this really was the last time she would ever see Dimitri again...
What if that hateful silence was the last thing Dimitri would hear from her...?
What if she would never tell him how much she really loved him, and what if he died thinking she hated him...?
What if she never had a chance to fix things?
Tears welled up in her eyes, and she couldn't blink them away this time. They silently ran down her cheeks.

Snow White bit her lip, "Charlotte what's wrong?" she asked, she felt even more guilty now.

She coughed, clearing her throat. Was she really going to confess this to Snow White? She hadn't even talked about this to anyone.
"I just... I love him so much... I just don't get what I did wrong..." she said it with such a choked up voice. She didn't mean to, but she honestly couldn't hold it in anymore, and she let her tears flow freely.
More than anything she needed Dimitri right now.
If only just to hold her.
And let her know everything was ok again.

Snow White frowned, "Is this Dimitri?" She asked quietly.

She was a bit shocked, and she hadn't thought that Snow White might know him. The realization that she just might tell him about her pathetic breakdown hit her like a brick wall.
"Please don't tell him," she pleaded.
"Please."

Snow White sighed, "Don't worry Charlotte, your secret lies with me. I've never met Dimitri before so don't worry." She said quietly.

Well, that was a relief. As long as they weren't friends, there was no great risk Dimitri would find out.
"He's changed..." she sighed.
"Since he got here... it's almost like I don't recognize him anymore... though he still feels the same. It's still him, deep down. He's just... I don't know... I suppose it's only natural a place like this would change you..."
Dimitri had always gotten in trouble before, but not this greatly.
He just seemed more morbid.
He had changed so much, and yet, he still felt the same.
When she touched him, she could still feel the same old Dimitri under her fingertips.
When she kissed him, his lips still tasted the same as it did that night, if not even sweeter...
She just missed him so badly right at that moment. And she would do anything to hold him, or just hear his voice...

Snow White bit her lip when she heard the longing in Charlotte's voice, "I'm sorry Charlotte......I don't know what thats like." She admitted. She wondered if she would become a changed person the longer she was stuck here.....somehow it wouldn't surprise her if she did.

[OOC: Sorry Snow, but this is about the time when I'm supposed to be on the phone with Dimitri xD (Phone Call topic in room 4) so I'll have to cut it short here ^^'']

Charlotte's crying came to an abrupt stop as the phone in her room started ringing loudly, and without even saying bye to Snow White, a horrified Charlotte slowly walked over to it to pick it up.
