The full moon shone through the hotel window, the curtains fluttering as the cool autumn breeze blew in from the open window and across the room, tickling the bare skin of the blonde as she lay naked on top of the bed covers.
She snuggled into the muscular, male chest underneath her. The steady heartbeat that had helped her fall asleep only half an hour earlier, started to quicken as she moved against him.
Several sudden knocks at the door echoed throughout the room, waking the sleeping pair.
'Open up! It’s the police!' a male voice boomed from the other side of the door.
'Shit!' he said annoyed as he stood up and quickly put on the jeans he had carelessly dropped onto the floor as soon as they had entered the hotel room.
'Odette,' he said quietly as the police continued to bang loudly at the door. He walked towards her as she sat up on the bed, kissing her forehead gently, 'go hide in the bathroom, I’ll get rid of them, ok?'
She nodded and stood up, grabbing her underwear before kicking her dress underneath the bed and out of sight.
'I’m now coming!' he called, hovering his hand over the door handle as he nodded urgently towards the bathroom door. She ran into the bathroom as he opened the door and casually leant against the frame, 'can I help you, officers?'
'Daniel Rivera?' she heard one of the men ask as she quietly closed the bathroom door behind her.
Odette continued to swear under her breath as she pulled on her underwear, she was not going to be arrested completely naked .. at least not again.
Before she could move her hands up to the clasp on her bra, she heard the door handle rattle behind her.
She jumped into the empty bathtub and hastily pulled the shower curtain across to hide herself as the bathroom door opened. Pressing herself down against the bottom of the bath, she held her breath, trying not to make a noise as she saw a silhouette move behind the curtain.
She heard murmurs coming from the other room, but she wasn’t really paying attention to what was being said. She was more interested in how she was going to get out of spending the night in jail if she was caught prostituting herself.
The curtain was pulled back slowly and she bit her lip as she saw one of the police officers standing there.
'Is anyone back there?' she heard another man shout from the other room.
As soon as she saw him open his mouth she knew she needed a distraction and quickly stretched her arms over her head. The fact that her bra was still undone made it easier to lift away from her breasts, letting it rest just below her neck.
She smirked as she saw his mouth drop open a little as she continued to flash her chest at him, while innocently pretending she didn’t know she was doing anything wrong.
'What the hell are you doing in there?' she heard the annoyed tone in the mans voice as he waited for his partner to say something.
She knew it was only a matter of time before he came in himself and she doubted that he could be as easily distracted, so she pulled her bra back down and blinked up at him with pleading eyes. He seemed to take the hint as he smiled down at her.
'.. it’s empty in here!' he finally called back and winked at her before closing the curtain again and walking back to the other room.
She sighed in relief and relaxed against the cool surface of the bath as she closed her eyes and waited for the all clear from Daniel.
She soon realised it had been silent for a long time and finally decided to step out of the bath, pulling together the clasp of her bra as she tentatively walked back into the bedroom.
'Daniel?' she called out softly as she walked towards the window, wondering if the cops were still lurking around outside. But before she could look down at the street below someone roughly grabbed her wrists.
'You’re under arrest!'
She started to panic as someone held her wrists together, feeling the familiar cold, steel close tightly around them as she was handcuffed for the fourth time that month.
'And what am I being charged with?' she asked innocently as she stared up at the sky, trying to stay calm.
'For being out of my arms for too long ..' she felt a smile spread across her lips as she finally recognised Daniel’s voice, 'you can’t have too much fun on your 18th if you spend it all alone in the bathroom now, can you?' he whispered as he began nibbling at her neck, causing her to moan softly.
'You know ..' she whispered as she turned her head to look into his eyes, 'I think you just might be the best cop in this city. You’re definitely my favourite .. even better than those friends of yours,' she said as she playfully stuck her tongue out at him.
'Oh really?' he said with a small laugh, 'I guess it was nice of them to drop by earlier .. we might have just stayed in bed asleep if they hadn’t disturbed us ..'
'Then shall we continue the birthday fun?' she asked seductively as she hovered her lips over his, 'unless, of course, you’re too tired ..' she trailed off, a smirk playing on her lips.
'Too tired .. for you?' he said in between kisses, 'not a chance ..'
She smiled to herself as she kissed him more passionately, moaning against his lips as his hand slipped inside her underwear.
