This Seems Oddly Similar To A Condom Advertisement

Odette woke up, opening her eyes slowly she stared at the ceiling for a few minutes before sitting up. She looked to the corner of the room and screwed up her nose.

'I wonder whos that is ..' she thought as she stared at the bloodstain. She suddenly looked down at her dress and almost teared up when she remembered she was still covered in Pocahontas' blood. She stood up and rushed over to the bathroom, hoping to keep Pocahontas' suffering at the back of her mind so she wouldn't end up in tears again. She left the door open slightly as she walked inside.

She lifted her dress over her head before kneeling naked beside the bath, she turned on the tap so she could wash the red out of her clothes. She stood up again as she finished and tried to remember what had happened before she fell asleep.

'Kayla ..' she said, louder than she had intended, 'what did I do to you ..' she sighed as she placed her dress on the edge of the bath to dry. If this was a different room, then she must have a new roommate .. isn't that how it worked ..? But she hadn't noticed the other person when she woke up. She sighed, figuring they'd make themselves known soon enough.

She stretched her arms above her head for a moment before letting them fall onto her stomach. She moved her hand across her skin, feeling a small bump.

'How long had it been since then ..' she thought as she looked down, she rubbed her stomach again. It wasn't that noticeable, was it?

Sinbad woke up. It was so hot. Or maybe it was just because he was still wearing the overall. The temperature was normal again.
He stood up and stripped down to his ordinary clothes.
"Ahh, much better," he said as he placed the overall on the floor.
He looked around the room. It wasn't the same room as before. Maybe that was why the temperature was different.
Was he still with Ariel, even if it was a new room? He really hoped so.
There was noone in the room with him. Just 2 mattresses, a phone and... a blood strain. He could have lived without that, but it was better than the low temperature.

He could hear someone in the bathroom. Maybe it was Ariel. he walked over to the door and knocked.
"Hey... uhm... Ariel, is it you in there?"

Odette jumped slightly when she heard a knock at the door.

'Why don't you come in and see for yourself ..?' she called out, too distracted by her bump to really notice what she was saying.

Without really thinking more about it, Sinbad opened the door an entered.
But as he did so he realized that the voice didn't belong to Ariel. No, it belonged to.... Odette.
He stared at her for a moment.
"Oh, it's you," he said slightly disappointed. Without realizing it, his sight focused on her stomach. It couldn't be for real, could it?

She finally looked up as the door opened and as soon as she saw Sinbad looking at her she quickly took her hand away from her stomach.

'Hey ..' she said slowly, blushing slightly as she noticed him staring at her stomach. She crossed her arms in front of her stomach, trying to make herself feel less uncomfortable as she walked towards him.

'It's nice to be roomed with someone who knows how to have fun in here,' she joked as she placed her hand lightly on his chest, hoping he hadn't noticed anything from before.

Sinbad ignored her comment. Right now he had other things on his mind than having fun.
Sinbad looked her in the eyes for a moment. Then he looked elsewhere.
"Is it true? Are you really pregnant?"
He remembered what he had been shown on the tv when he was with Ariel.
"Is it m-mine?"

She stepped back a little as he spoke.

'How .. how do you know about .. that?' she asked quietly, but started nodding anyway as she put both of her arms protectively over her stomach again.

'Is it yours?' she whispered to herself before suddenly becoming angry with him, 'of course it is!' she shouted, 'I told you I hadn't slept with anyone else in here ..' she stopped, thinking back to her time with Pocahontas and what she almost did with Dimitri before she ..

She turned away from him as she felt herself tear up again, 'don't lower me to your standards,' she said as she remembered hearing about how many people Sinbad had slept with in here. She felt her voice tremble slightly as she held onto her stomach, 'I might have been a prostitute out there, but in here ..'

'.. I'm acting like nothing has changed ..' she finished in her head, feeling a tear escape down her cheek as she remembered all the things Dimitri had said about her during their argument in the dining room.

Sinbad moved his hand to his neck.
"Uhm... well, the tv," he said as he watched her nodge. So that really was what she was talking about back then.

"Well, I'm allowed to hope aren't I? I don't want a stupid baby," he shouted back at her.
"And what do you mean 'lowring you to my standards'?" he yelled offended.
"You wanted it at least as much as I did. So don't talk about lowering yourself to me. That's bullshit. But sleeping with you was a huge mistake."
He stopped for a minute to breath.
"Get rid of that... that thing," he said as he turned and walked into the other room again.

'The tv ..' she thought and rolled her eyes, 'first Jane saw me and Dimitri and now this .. so much for keeping this whole pregnancy thing a secret, but what else should I expect from the villain ..'

'And you think I wanted this to happen?! Because of you .. this baby .. you almost messed up one of the few good things I have left in my life!' she started shouting again as she thought of what might have happened if she hadn't thrown up in the dining room, 'well these things always look better in the heat of the moment, don't they ..' she lowered her voice slightly, pretending not to care about what he had said as he walked out of the bathroom.

'Get rid of it?' she repeated as she followed him to the bathroom door. Not even thinking about getting dressed again as she leant her hand against the door frame, 'Dimitri said you wouldn't be man enough to take any responsibility for this,' she said, just loud enough for him to hear. She knew Dimitri hadn't really said that exactly, she just wanted to annoy Sinbad for telling her what to do.

She started looking around the room, searching for something before continuing, 'how the hell am I supposed to get rid of it in here?' she asked, panicking slightly as soon as she saw the first aid kit, but there wouldn't be anything in there to help with an abortion, would there? She shook her head, not wanting to think about it for too long.

She stared at the floor for a while, trying to calm down before saying, 'who says you're the only one that gets to decide if we get rid of it or not anyway?'

Sinbad stopped. Not man enough? Who was this Dimitri person anyway? Sinbad thought about it for a while, until he became certain that Dimitri was the man who had helped him and Ariel in the basement. How could he say such things? Not man enough. As if he knew anything about it. Sinbad clenched his hand.

When Odette started searching the room, a part of Sinbad regretted what he had said. Maybe he went too far when he told her to get rid of it. He hadn't pictured she'd do something about it herself. But he really didn't want that child.

Sinbad turned around a little surprised. "You want to keep it?"

Odette sighed and walked further into the room. She sat down on one of the matresses, pulling her knees up to her chest before looking back at him.

'Well .. why not?' she said, 'I wasn't so sure at first, but .. I don't know if I could get rid of something that's a part of me,' she stared at him for a moment before laughing lightly, 'even if it's also a part of you,' she joked, hoping to lighten the mood a little.

Sinbad stared at Odette for a while. (OOC: And not just because she is naked *cough* )
"A part of me?" he said in a low voice.
"No," he shouted. He shut his eyes and clenched his hands. "I... I can't go through with it Odette. I'm sorry. It just isn't right."

'Well that didn't work,' she thought as she listened to him.

She stood up and walked over to him, gently touching his hand with her fingertips.

'What do you mean?' she asked, trying to be understanding, 'you don't have to do anything if you don't want to .. I .. I can do this by myself ..' she stared up at him for a moment, all her fears and doubts about being a mother were coming back to her as she watched him, '.. but maybe I wouldn't be so scared if this baby didn't exist ..' she added quietly.

She was still unsure about her current situation. When she had first found out, Dimitri was there to tell her that everything would be ok, but she knew now that if Sinbad kept talking this way, she'd soon forget about all the good things she'd thought would happen if she had the baby and start, once again, to focus only on the bad things.

"Y-you can?" he said, almost a little relieved. If she could take care of it herself, then everything would be fine. He would get no more troubles from it. It was perfect.
But then he watched her expression change. She definitely wasn't fine with this. She seemed scared, somehow.
"Uhm... I'm sorry I brought this mess upon you. It's just..." He wasn't quite sure what to tell her. he really didn't want to have anything to do with the child, but seeing her like this.... He couldn't just let her deal with it herself. Could he?

She nodded slowly but she could still feel herself tearing up again. She looked down at the floor as she started to think about what she was going to do. Dimitri said he would help her, but what if he really was in love with Jane and they ended up together? He'd be helping to take care of Cody and he wouldn't want to be stuck with another womans baby .. Jane definitely wouldn't want her around then ..

She stared back up at him and tried to smile, 'it's ok .. you were right, it was my fault as well .. I .. I can do it if I ..' she stopped, feeling a tear run down her cheek at the thought of being alone with the baby and messing it up, just like her father had done to her.

Sinbad moved his hand to her cheek and wiped away the tear.
"Y'know maybe I could try help out just a little bit..." he said, trying to cheer her up. Though he doubted he would really be of any help.

She smiled as he touched her cheek, looking up at him in surprise as he spoke.

'You'd do that .. for me ..' she said softly, placing her hand against his and slowly caressing it with her thumb, 'it won't be that bad will it? I just know I'll end up doing something to mess up their life if I'm all alone ..' she put her other hand on her stomach and looked down, '.. I didn't exactly have the perfect role model ..' she added quietly as she thought about her father for a moment.

He nodded slightly at her question. It was partly his fault, and therefor his responsibility.
"Well, I don't really think I'd be the best help you could get, but I'll try... But..." He closed his eyes for a moment, thinking about how he would say it.
"... I won't leave Ariel for this."
- Ariel shouldn't go through the same shit John put Meg through.

'Right .. Ariel ..' she said as she continued to gently caress his skin, 'she doesn't know about this, does she?' she asked as she started to slowly run her fingertips across her bare stomach.

"Uhm... well... she might have been in the room with me when it was shown on the tv," he said a bit flustered.
Sinbad turned his look down and looked at her stomach. You couldn't tell she was pregnant from just looking at her. Wait... Why was she naked? Not that it was really a problem. No, of course it was a problem. He had to get away for a moment, just to get control of himself. He had promised Ariel that he wouldn't do anything, and he intended to keep that promise.
He forced himself to look at Odette's face again.
"B-but I'm sure it won't be a problem. Will you excuse me for a minute? I n-need a..." Sinbad looked around the room. He needed to get away for a while. But how? His eyes crossed the door to the bathroom. That was it.
"I need a shower," he said and started walking to the bathroom.

Before she could say anything more about Ariel's reaction to the tv, he disappeared towards the bathroom. She couldn't help but smile at the way he was acting and decided to just let him be alone for a little while.

She walked back over to the mattress and lay down, staring up at the ceiling as she moved her hands gently across her stomach.

Sinbad walked into the bathroom. He splashed some cold water in his face. he really needed to calm down. He had to be better at dealing with these things. He had Ariel. He had to focuse on her. Then everything would be alright.
Actually he had only used the shower as an excuse, but now that he was here, he really felt like taking a shower.
He stripped out of his clothes and turned on the water. When it had a nice temperature he went inside.

As Odette heard the water running in the shower, she turned her head towards the bathroom. She stood up and started walking slowly towards the door, deciding that it would probably be less boring being on the other side of it.

Silently locking the door behind her, Odette stared at the shower for a moment before quietly moving towards it and stepping inside behind Sinbad. She gently placed her palms against his back, closing her eyes as she felt the water run across her skin.

Sinbad just stood in the shower and let the water run over his skin. This would be so much easier if there was actually something interesting to do in here. So he could think of something else. But there wasn't. He sighed.
Suddenly he felt something on his back. He hadn't noticed that Odette had entered the room before she touched him. He got tense.
"Uhm... O-Odette, w-what are you doing in h-here?" he said flustered.

'Oh, nothing,' she said, laughing lightly as she slowly moved her hands up to his shoulders, 'just thought you could use the company ..' she stood on tiptoes so her lips reached his ear and whispered, '.. and I got kind of bored being all by myself ..'

He could feel her breath against his skin.
"Why do you have to make this so hard for me?" he mumbled.
He looked down at his hand where the mark used to be visible. But now it was covered with a piece of fabric. Ariel had given him a second chance, and he had promised he wouldn't cheat on her again. He couldn't just ruin their relationship like this.

'Hey ..' she said, noticing something was wrong. She moved around to face him, trailing her fingers across his shoulders and down his arm, settling on his chest, 'what's wrong?' she asked, moving her wet hair out of her face so she could look at him properly as she leant against the wall.

"Uhm... well..." he started while looking Odette in the eyes. Then he turned his look away from her.
"I promised Ariel I wouldn't do anything like this ever again."

'I'm sure she'd understand, you have to live for the moment in this place .. if you knew you were going to die .. before seeing her again, would you spend your last hours alone? Or would you spend them doing something you enjoy?' she said before pushing herself off of the wall and up against Sinbad, 'I'm right here, so .. live in the moment ..' she whispered as she let her lips hover over his.

Sinbad looked at Odette again. The things she said... they made sense. Just like the first time they had been together.
Sinbad tried to say something, but he wasn't sure what. Instead he just felt her breath against his for a moment. Felt her body against his body.
Then he shut his eyes and turned his head down.
"Will you please just leave me alone for a little while," he shouted.

She was surprised by what he said, she stared at him for a moment before suddenly reaching up to kiss him on the lips, wrapping her arms around his neck, pulling him closer to her. She wasn't sure why she did it, all she knew was that if she spent too long by herself she'd end up thinking back through the last few weeks .. the baby .. her argument with Dimitri .. and Jane .. and she would probably do something that she'd regret.

After a while she pulled away and looked at him, her sadness clear in her eyes but any tears that fell were masked by the warm water running down her face, 'no,' she said defiantly as she continued to stare at him, watching closely for his reaction.

Sinbad was surprised by the sudden kissed. He had thought she would leave. This was so unexpected.
When she pulled away he stared at her. It was clear from his face expression that he was shocked.
"W-why?" he asked in a low, confused voice as he kept staring at her with the same shocked expression.

'Does it really matter ..' she said quickly as she watched his shocked expression, 'it's just that I .. I ..'

'.. I like you ..' she finished in her head, she looked away for a moment. Was that the real reason she didn't want to leave him .. why, with one kiss, she had betrayed Dimitri again .. or maybe it was just the baby .. hormones or whatever .. or maybe she was just making up excuses and, even though they hadn't known each other for very long, she really was starting to have feelings for him that added up to more than just sex.

Without looking him in the eye, she pulled him closer, hugging him tightly as she whispered in his ear again, 'I just .. don't want to be alone right now ..' it wasn't really a lie, but it wasn't the whole truth either ..

When she hugged him, he hugged her back.
So she didn't want to be alone? The least he could do was keep her company. That couldn't do any harm. Besides he didn't really want to be alone either. It was nice to have someone to be with.
"Okay," he sighed lightly. "What do you say, we move to one of the mattresses instead and just... y'know, talk things through?"

Odette nodded, maybe just talking was the best distraction for her right now .. she'd soon find out if it wasn't enough.

She pulled away from him to turn off the shower. She pushed a stray strand of hair behind her ear and moved around him towards the door, brushing her arm against his as she passed. She peered out of the shower and smiled a little when she didn't see any towels.

'I guess we'll have to do this the old fashioned way,' she thought as she gently took hold of Sinbad's hand and walked towards the bathroom door.

Odette sat back on one of the mattresses, her wet, blonde hair fanning out around her head as she lay there. She turned her head slightly and smiled up at him, waiting for him to join her.

Sinbad followed Odette to the other room.
Sinbad laid down next to Odette.
He looked at her for a little while, just studied her face in silence.
"What is it that scares you the most right now?" he asked at last.

As soon as he spoke, her hands rushed to her stomach. She looked at him for a second before turning away again and staring at the ceiling.

'My father ..' she lied, trying to distract herself from her hearts most recent confession. She squeezed her eyes shut to block out any particularly painful memories and took a deep breath before continuing, '.. he wasn't the greatest guy in the world .. he was the cause of most of these ..' she said as she trailed one hand from her stomach down to her inner thigh, drawing attention to the numerous scars on her body, '.. and part of the reason that I do what I do for a living ..' she felt a tear roll down her cheek as she opened her eyes again, 'I'm scared ..' she whispered as she turned to look at Sinbad, '.. that when this baby is born, I .. I'll turn out just like my father .. he was the only family I had and my only role model of being a parent ..'

He watched her carefully to see her reaction.
He looked at the scars as she showed them to him. So that was the reason behind it.
Sinbad moved up in the bed. He wiped away the tear on her cheek before he leaned in and gently kissed her on the forehead.
"I'm sorry you've been though such a life because of him," he said. He moved his head a little away from her and looked at her.
"But even so, I can't imagine that you would turn out to be a bad person. Or bad parent for that matter. Im sure it'll be just fine, even if you don't have a role model you can look up to." He gave her a reassuring smile.

Odette felt her cheeks flush at the unexpected kiss and she started smiling as he spoke. She looked up at him for a moment before reaching up to kiss him back. She stopped just short of his lips. Biting her own as she turned away suddenly. Why was she so afraid to kiss him now?

'Thank you,' she said quietly as she kept her eyes on the mattress.

It was not like he knew her that well. Afterall this was only the second time they had been roomed together, and the last time had only been for a short period. But was it just his imagination or did she act different somehow from what she normally did?
He smiled at her for a little while. "Mhm, 'you okay?" he asked carefully.

Odette continued to stare at the mattress for a few moments longer before finally looking back into his eyes.

'I'm fine ..' she said with a smile, though she knew she sounded unconvincing.

She reached up again, hoping that showing him that she was ok would be more convincing than telling him. She pulled him closer and kissed him, pressing her chest against his and placing her hand on the nape of his neck.

'.. see,' she whispered softly as she pulled away.

Sinbad was again surprised by her kiss. Had he asked for it this time? No, he had just been worried because she acted strange. He couldn't do this.
"Uhm, O-Odette.. This is... ehm..." he started as he moved a little away from her.
Why was he so nervous?
"I-I told you already... I can't... I promised Ariel.. You see... So.. Uhm, yeah..."

She put a finger to his lips and smiled.

'If you keep quiet .. and I keep quiet .. no promises have to be broken,' she whispered, trying to make this as easy for him as possible as she moved closer to him.

She lowered her head to kiss his neck, putting her hand over his and guiding it to her hips. She kept her hand over his against her hips, moving her finger away from his lips as she pushed him down so he was lying on his back. She moved on top of him, resting her knees on either side of him as she kissed him again.

"B-but...."
Well, maybe just a little bit of fun. No, he couldn't. Not even a little bit. It had already gone too far.

Sinbad laid on his back and looked up at Odette. He had to stop it.
He pushed her over so he came on top.
"I'm sorry Odette, but I told you already that I can't," he said as he pinned her to the bed. He stared at her for a moment.
- This would be so much less awkward if we weren't naked.
He let go of her and raised from the bed.
Then he walked to the bathroom to pick up his clothes.

Odette gasped as her back hit the mattress, she could feel her heart beating faster as she stared up at him in silence.

'You can't or you don't want to .. because I'm ..' she said quietly, trying not to cry in front of him again, turning away from him as he stood up.

'What the hell is wrong with me?! Why do I keep pushing this ..' she thought as she sat up and wiped furiously at her eyes as her tears began to fall, 'it's not like he's a client .. he can't pay me ..'

'You like him .. you don't even know him,' the voice in the back of her mind teased, 'get over yourself, no one wants to sleep with you now that you're pregnant .. I'm surprised anyone wanted to sleep with you before, what with all those scars ..'

'Wait!' she called out, standing up quickly and rushing after him as she tried to drown out her own insecurities.

As she ran into the bathroom, she knocked into him, pushing him against the wall. As she tried to catch her breath, she rested her hands on his chest again, letting her hair fall in front of her face, hiding her tear stained cheeks.

'I .. I just .. I need to tell you .. I ..' she stammered, not quite knowing what she was going to say.

Sinbad stopped for a moment as he heard her call. He was unsure if he should turn around, but he decided to continue going into the bathroom.
When he got to the bathroom, he bowed down to quickly put on his pants. The he grabbed his shirt on the floor. He stood up to put it over his head, when Odette knocked into him.
He looked at her with an angry expression. He could see she was trying to say something. He sighed.
"What? I'm listening," he said in a slightly angry tone.

'I .. I ..' she stopped and stepped back, keeping her head down when she noticed the anger in his voice.

'I'm sorry .. about before .. I just really .. I really ..' she looked up at him, not caring that he could tell that she'd been crying again, was she really going to tell him? She wasn't even sure what she was feeling right now .. but why else would she be acting this way ..

'I just really like yo ..' she turned away from him quickly, losing her nerve at the last second, 'sex .. I really like .. sex ..' she laughed nervously, 'must be my hormones or something ..' she added quickly and bit her lip as she started walking over to the bath where her dress still sat, hoping that he hadn't noticed what she was about to say .. even though a small part of her did ..

He calmed down a bit when he saw she had been crying.
"Uhm... you what?" he said surprised when he realized what she was trying to say.
Why would she say such a thing? It seemed so unreal. They had sex and she ended up pregnant. But that was it. Why would she suddenly say such a thing.
He looked in her direction as she walked over to the bathtub.
He wasn't quite sure what he was supposed to tell her. It was evident that she had changed her sentence in the last moment. Maybe he could just pretend that he hadn't heard it? No, that wouldn't solve anything.
"O-Odette, I..." he started and took a step in her direction. "I'm sorry, but I... well.... I love Ariel."
