New Roommates

Anya woke up and realized she was no longer with Eric. Instead she was in a room with two other people

Anya looked at the two people sleeping. She didn't know either of them. "I wonder when they'll wake up?"

[OOC: I don't know if you've been keeping up with Al's story, but he just lost Esme. Bear with him. By the way Anya, I've been looking forward to meeting your character!]

Aladdin slowly came back to consciousness, and he was very disoriented. Suddenly he remembered.

Aladdin stood up so fast that he almost fell over, spinning in circles frantically. He didn't notice the fact that there was a brunette and his old roommate in his room with him. None of that mattered now. Esmeralda... She was gone.

"NO!" Aladdin screamed with a pain-filled cry. He jumped towards the door and pounded on it, giving it everything he could hoping it would break down.
"PLEASE! PLEASE NO! ESMERALDA! PLEASE!"

Aladdin fell to his knees, still banging on the door, trying desperately to get out as if the room was on fire. His hands began bleeding from beating them so hard, but he didn't care.

"PLEASE, NOT HER. JUST KILL ME INSTEAD! DO YOU HEAR ME JOHN?! DO YOU?!"
He was screaming and crying so hard, realizing he had no one in the world.

"Please..." Finally he stopped screaming. He hung his head, still weakly pounding on the door. He looked at the finger where his green ring once was, that was now on his fiance's finger. Still. "Please..."

He was silent now. "Esmeralda."
He simply said her name and sat alone in his sorrows.

(OOC: I've been wanting to meet Al too!)

Anya looked at the man, surprised. "Uhh are you ok there?" She asked

Aladdin heard a voice, and finally realized that there were other people. He turned very slowly, for the first time taking in his surroundings. He had been a prisoner in this room in the past... the one with Sinbad?

Aladdin still had tear-filled eyes, so everything was a little blurry. He saw in the corner an unconcious girl, who he recognized as his old roommate, Anastasia. Then he saw the source of the voice. A beautiful girl, brown hair and bright eyes.

Just like Esme's eyes.

"Can I ask you a question? Have you ever been in love? Do you love someone, more than you love anything else in the world? Would you give your life for that person, and feel empty inside knowing they were in trouble? Do you plan on spending the rest of your life with them?"

Aladdin looked down again, staring at the floor and waiting for a response. He felt bad knowing she had to deal with him like this, but he couldn't help it.

Anya blinked, "Uh y-yes." Why was he so upset? What happened?

"She's gone. Esmeralda is gone. She's dead. My fiance. He killed her. In the pool. She is my life. I have nothing now."

He said it very quietly, all just loud enough for her to hear.

Suddenly he stood up and banged his fists on the door again, yelling "NOTHING!", and then he calmed down again, dropped back down to his knees, and lay there, tears still falling from his face.

Anya looked at him shocked. Esmerelda? Eric's sister? She knelt before him, "I'm so sorry," she whispered

He looked at her, full of pain. "I'm... I'm sorry we had to meet like this."

He tried to stop the crying, but he just couldn't. He took a couple deep breaths.

"I'm Aladdin."

Anya reached over and gently touched his shoulder. She couldn't imagine losing Eric. "I'm Anya," she looked at him with sadness,

Aladdin looked down at his feet and felt her hand on his shoulder. That simple gesture of comfort made him feel better, and he was grateful.

"Pleased to meet you Anya." He looked up and gave her a very weak smile.

"So... What's your story? If you don't mind me asking. I ask everyone I meet or am roommates with. I don't have much of a story. Grew up alone, wandering the streets all around. Then I met..." A lump grew in his throat. "Her." he said with a shaky voice. "Then I ended up here. She is-" he corrected himself, hating the idea of past tense. "-was a prisoner here as well. We have a son, Aaron. John, the villian, took him away. Then... well, now I'm here. Long story short."

[OOC: I'm off to work by the way... and it's going to be a late night. I'm alone tonight. T.T Which means death. So I may or may not reply when I get home, and tomorrow I'll be very busy. So Monday night-ish I'll be on again?]

[OOC: Al... I have been close to crying several times in the roleplay but... never ACTUALLY shed any tears on behalf of any of the characters... but you seriously, litteraly made me shed tears thinking about what Aladdin must be going through...]

Anastasia heard a man yelling when she awoke and it made her scared. She was still half asleep and all she could make out was a mans voice. While trying to wake up fully, she kept listening to the voice.

John? No, Thrax! No! I've heard this voice before! she thought.

She listene more as the man began to speak of an Esmeralda. When she heard the name, she quickly sprang up and looked over.

"Aladdin!"

[OOC: I shed tears as well, I do almost every time I type anything about Al and Esme. Besides that, I cried hardcore when reading the Meg Death scene. Sorry for making you cry!]

His thoughts were interrupted when he heard his name, and he turned to see Anastasia. He didn't know what it was about a friendly face, someone familiar that he trusted and had consoled in before, bt he felt overwhelming relief seeing her.

He stood up, walked right up to her, and threw his arms around her. He didn't mean to react in that way, but the thought of comfort from a friend was what he needed. He hugged her, tears falling from his face again. Aladdin clung to her, as if he'd never let go.

Suddenly he realized he was probably coming off really weird to her, and he let go. He looked at her, and wasn't even sure what to say, so he simply said,
"Hello Anastasia."

Anya looked at the girl who had just woken up, "Erm hello."

When Aladdin ran over and hugged her she was surprised but, was it weird to say that this was the happiest she had been the whole time she had been here? When she hugged him, she felt as though she was hugging one of her best friends.

"Hello Aladdin" she said giving a bright smile. Then she heard the voice of a woman. She looked over to see a red headed girl.

"Hello. My name is Anastasia." she said to the girl still, still kneeling beside Aladdin.

Anya glanced at the woman, before looking back at Aladdin, concerned, "I'm Anya."

"Hello, it's nice to meet you." She said with a smile."

Then Anastasia looked back at Aladdin, "What's wrong? I can tell something is wrong."

He had been silent while Anya and Anastasia had introduced themselves, until she had addressed the question to him.

He tried to tell her, but it was like he was choking on his words.
"Esmeralda..." was all he managed to get out before he broke down again.

Anastasia looked at Aladdin in concern. She put her hand on his chest.

"What happened, Aladdin. You know you can tell me anything."

He put his hand over Anastasia's and squeezed it, not enough to hurt her, but enough to show her how much pain he was in.

"My last room... I was with a woman named Helga. She got invited to a masquerade. The next day, I received an invitation to a pool party. When I woke up in the pool room..."

The details came flying back, and he squeezed her hand harder. Tears fell from his face onto her hand, and he leaned his head on her shoulder, shaking from head to toe.

"There was no one else there. I thought it was a trick, maybe another game of his. Which, it did turn out that way, just not the way I thought it would."

Aladdin could not get the image of Esmeralda's dead, cold body floating at the bottom of the pool, her skin glowing in the water, her raven black hair going in every direction.

"I was wrong though. There was one other person. Esmeralda."
Saying her name felt like a bullet to the heart, and it took everything in him to continue telling Anastasia what had happened.

"I saw her clothes, I recognized them. You can't imagine the joy, Anastasia, I felt whole again, knowing she was there. I ran to the pool, ready to jump in, hold her in my arms, kiss her, tell her I love her. So I ran, to the edge of the pool, and I saw her. She..."

Aladdin's body began shaking even more now, trembling in sorrow.

He buried his face into her shoulder so his screams would be muted as he yelled,
"SHE WAS DEAD... DEAD. GONE! AND THERE WAS NOTHING I COULD DO TO CHANGE IT."

He just couldn't keep talking, as he continued to hold her hand and bury his face into her, as if she was his life in that moment, the last thing keeping him going and keeping him alive.

Once Aladdin grabbed her hand and squeezed it, she knew something was wrong.

When I woke up in the pool room... as she heard Aladdin say and he gripped onto her tighter. It began to hurt her hand, but she didn't care. She knew that there was something terribly wrong and she was scared. When he leaned into her, Anastasia could feel his body shaking.

Once Aladdin had told her that he had seen Esmeralda, she gave a slight smile. But, she could feel his body shaking more and more.

SHE WAS DEAD... DEAD. GONE! AND THERE WAS NOTHING I COULD DO TO CHANGE IT. - She heard him yell. Her jaw dropped and her eyes looked down to the floor behind Aladdin. He was still silent and gripping onto her. She closed her eyes, put her other hand on the back of his head and brought him closer.

"I'm so sorry Aladdin." she whispered to him. "I don't understand why this would have happened."

Anastasia opened her eyes and knew exactly what had happened, John.

Anya just looked at the two. She felt terrible for the man. He lost so much.

I'm so sorry Aladdin. I don't understand why this would have happened.

Aladdin heard her say as he sat there in misery, but not alone. When she put her hand on the back of his head, he felt protected, comforted. But the pain could not escape him. It would never escape him, and he knew that. Time can heal most anything, but it could never heal this hurt.

He eventually looked up at her with big, sad eyes, wishing they could have met up with each other again in happiness.

"I understand..." Aladdin said slowly, "I guess God just needed his best angel back."

As he looked up at her she just listened to him.

I guess God just needed his best angel back. , she heard him say. That brought a smile to her face.

"She'll be just fine now. She's no longer in pain and is protected." She grabbed part of the skirt of her dress and wiped Aladdin's cheeks. "And she doesn't need to worry about you or Aaron, you'll both live the amazing life that you plan once you're out of here and with her memory in mind." She gave him a smile.

ooc: awwww Aladdin *cries* noooooo I feel so sad the angel quote!! Oh my God!! awwww

Anya sat down and leaned her head against the wall. She didn't believe in God and heaven, but if that's what made Aladdin feel better...

Aladdin looked up and gave Anastasia the best smile he could muster, and then he stood up.
"You're right... She's free now. Now my next plan: Get my son back. But for now, enough about me and my sorrows. So..." he looked at Anya and continued asking the question he had briefly asked her before.

"I know Anastasia pretty well and her background. What is your story? If you want to share it, that is."

Anastasia turned and looked at Anya with a gentle smile.

Anya sighed. Every time she was locked up with someone new they wanted to hear her story. "When I was a child my father beat me, bad. I actually still have some scars. The government found me and put me in an orphanage. I was later discovered by an agent and I became an actress. The villain kidnapped me and now I'm here."

"Oh goodness!" Anastasia replied "Im so sorry! I can't even imagine what going trough something like that would be like."

Anastasia started to get up when all of a sudden she heard a click. She shifted her head over and saw that the television had turned on. On it, she saw a blonde woman chained to the wall and a red haired girl. The red headed girl had a knife in her hand. Anastasia put her hand over her mouth.

"John, don't let her do this." Anastasia whispered to herself but not sure if the other two heard her.

Anastasia watched in horror as the girl with the knife got closer and closer to the blonde. She could see the women arguing, and over Sinbad...
"Thats Ariel!" Anastasia yelled. She continued to watch as the girls yelled back and forth at each other. Suddenly she saw Ariel move closer towards the blonde and punch her until she was bleeding. Anastasia covered her mouth with her hand again. The women continued to yell at each other until finally... Ariel stabbed the girl.
"Oh my God!" she cried out. How were these girls roomed together and it turn out like this?

Then it quickly came to her, John controls all of this.

"How can he be so cold hearted?!" she yelled as she smacked her palm against the wall.

Anya looked up at Anastasia. Suddenly she laughed, she honest to God laughed. And she didn't even find it funny. "You are just now realizing what type of person he is!?"

Aladdin hadn't noticed what was going on until he heard Anastasia say John's name. He turned to face the tv, and he watched in horror once again as another bloody broadcast was on the screen.

"The things that happen here... You think it would have stopped surprising me by now. So that's Ariel, the redhead? I met her through the wall... What's happening? What made her hurt that girl?" Aladdin felt such concern for her, and when he heard Sinbad was involved, he knew it wouldn't be pretty.

Anya looked over at Aladdin, "Ariel is Sinbad's girlfriend and I'm guessing Odette slept with Sinbad."

Anastasia looked at Anya when she heard her laughing.

"Ive just recently learned about John and the true person her seems to be." she gave a sigh " I knew him before coming here."

"Oh man... Sinbad. I wonder how many prisoners here he's slept with. A girlfriend though, that's crazy, very unlike Sinbad. This place is crazy, it really is."

Aladdin shook his head and sighed, thinking about all of the things he had seen, experienced, and even done. Even Aladdin himself had almost beat someone to death with a bat: Phoebus. He remembered that day in the basement clearly, and he also remembered all of the faces and screams coming from the tv of his attacks and rapes. That's when he realized where he recognized Anya's face. He looked at her, wondering what all she had been through while she was here, but he wasn't stupid enough to ask about it.

"I'm sorry about John, Anastasia, I really am. I know you cared about him, but that's part of what he does. Please don't ever fall back into that place, because I don't want him using his feelings against you at any point." Aladdin put a hand on her shoulder.

She looked up at Aladdin.

He really cares that much? - she thought. Anastasia gave him and smile and then hugged him. Then she quickly realized she was probably coming off weird.

"Sorry. I'm just... It's just that... Nevermind..."

Anastasia looked up at Aladdin, made eye contact, and then quite suddenly hugged him.

Even though it wasn't quite the reaction he was expecting, it made him happy nontheless. He could tell when she stopped that she felt like he felt awkward from that, but he didn't.

He just gave her a little smile and a laugh, to show her not to be sorry about it, and he gave another hug to reassure her that hugs were alright.

"You're a great friend, Anastasia. Don't be sorry, hugs are always welcome."

Just then, Aladdin heard a noise coming from the wall.
"Hey, sounds like it's time to talk to some other people." Aladdin stood up and walked over to the wall, listening.
