Villain Says

Eric advanced on Odette.
-Hey, are you alright?

(OOC: Sorry guys I have to go very busy day! I'll be back in an hour! feel free to play with Anya while I'm gone

The speakers went on again, startling them.
"Now that most of you are awake... and the flashlight has been found... what do you say we start the game, huh?"
He laughed quietly.
"You have been paired... Eric and Anya... Lilo and Jane... and Odette and Dimitri..."
He paused for a while.
"If you want to know the rules of the game I have left a small note for you. I will come back later to give the orders. Have fun so long..." From his voice it sounded as if he were smiling.
The speakers suddently went off leaving behind them a heavy silence.

'Oh, Anya ..' she brightened up, glad that she knew someone in here. She paused when she heard Eric's name and started smiling when she remembered what Anya had said about him. She turned to Eric, 'and this must be the nice guy that you kissed in your room.'

[ OOC: See you later ]

'Hi Lilo ..' she paused when she noticed the gun in her hands, 'um, I'm not sure if you remember me. But we met in the garden .. though we didn't really get a chance to talk. Aladdin and I were worried about you .. you seemed kind of out of it because of the drugs ..'

Odette turned to Eric with a nervous smile, 'I'm fine .. I think ..'

" A garden?", Lilo scratched her head. "Seems I missed that..."

Lilo turned to the other woman. That's Jane? The Jane she talked to through the wall? She was really pretty. But slept. Like her big bro.

"Why is everyone I want to talk to always sleeping?"

Eric to smile to Odette, to reassure her, when the high speakers ignited. In spite of him, he fixed the high speakers, the time to listen the'rules'.
- A note? He raised.
Bending towards Anya, he clocked the lamp towards the side 'object'. A note...

( OOC: Have to go to bed... I wish I could stay longer but when I'm not going to bed now I'll be like death tomorrow on work... So good night everyone! *waves*)

'Dimitri's here?' she thought as she heard the voice on the speakers, 'and Jane ..?'

Odette sat in silence as the speakers turned off.

'We're stuck in another game, huh?' she finally said as she stood up and looked around, but she couldn't see much in the darkness, 'so, have either of you seen this note we're supposed to read?'

[ OOC: Goodnight ]

Squatted, Eric began looking among objects.
- Not still, I am looking.

OOC: Shit, shit, shiiiiit, SHIT! I'm so sorry, but I am also going to have to leave you! I am sorry! Really! But there is a thunderstorm of category 4 (flash of lighting, thunder and hail) over my head, and all the electricity have just jumped! I have only little battery! I am really, really sorry! Forgive me! Please!

[OOC: Intense... I can't wait to see what happens. o.O I want stuff to happen, but at the same time, I love all of your guys' characters and don't want anything to happen to you -.- Gal dangit, why does Jane have to be in here?! I need her. Esme is in freaking labor. xD]

Odette walked over to Eric and helped him look for the note among the dangerous and unknown objects.

'I really hope these are just here for decoration,' she said and laughed nervously as she continued to search.

[ OOC: That's ok Ooo a storm && hail That sounds scary D: I hope everything's ok once it's over ]

[OOC: I'm finally back ... had school concert. Seems i've missed most people.. but i'll talk to you guys i've missed tomorrow ]

Dimitri noticed that someone had found the torch.. Lilo came running over.
'Hey!' he said smiling. 'Long time no see...!'
He looked around- Eric and Anya were there too... as was Jane and Odette. He walked over to the corner where various items were placed. 'Another game...' he muttered under his breath..

'Found it!' Odette called out, smiling triumphantly as she stood up and turned towards Eric. She jumped a little when she saw Dimitri standing nearby, 'oh, hi .. I heard you were in here somewhere,' she said awkwardly, pointing towards the speakers in the darkness, the note still unopened in her hand.

[OOC: @Dim: The objects are in the corner, not on the table ;D]

'Hi...' he said awkwardly, running his hands over the various items.

'Hows your arm?' he asked, remembering what Cinderella had told him through the wall. He guessed she was left with Phoebus now, but as long as a wall was between them he hoped she was safe enough.

He looked at the note in her hand. 'So whats going on?' One of his hands felt the collar around his neck, and he was reminded of the man dying in the basement. He shuddered at the thought, looking around at the people in the room.

[OOC: Oops, skim reading all this to catch up !
I'll change it now xD]

'Fine ..' she said, quickly hiding her injured arm behind her back.

'Another game. We've all been paired together .. Anya and Eric, Jane and Lilo and you and me .. I'm sorry you had to be paired with me, I know you'd prefer to be with Jane ..' she thought back to what Dimitri had said the last time they were in the basement as she passed him the note and walked towards the table, leaning on it as she continued to speak, remembering what the villain had said, 'he said the rules were on that note .. and he'd be back later to give us our "orders".'

He felt hurt that she was hiding things from him.. she hadn't hidden her injuries from him in a long time and it felt like a huge step back- like they were more distant again. Still he didn't believe her one bit, and he was determined that during this game he'd take a look at her arm.

'Its not like that...' he said, but he didn't attempt to comfort her sensing she probably wouldn't want him near her. He sighed, remembering what had just happened between him and Phoebus. 'Things are just.. complicated.' He needed to know Jane was ok after what had happened, but he wasn't sure it was appropriate to leave right now.

'So..' he said lightly.. 'Should we open this?'

"I think we should, we should know what we're getting in to." Anya said walking over to satnd next to Odette.

'Ok...' he said, hastily opening the note.
'Urgh its too dark to read properly... who has the flashlight?'

Anya walked over and took the flashlitght from Eric and handed it to Dimitri, "Here you go."

[ OOC: Yaay! Welcome back ]

'Uh-huh,' she said absentmindedly as she listened to Dimitri while looking around the room, trying to avoid his gaze.

She smiled at Anya as she stood next to her and watched silently as she took the flashlight from Eric and gave it to Dimitri.

He read the note... 'The Villain's twisted, thats for sure' he said.
'Says here we're playing a form of Simon Says. Except its the Villain telling one of us what to do.' He looked over to the items.. 'We're all going to get orders.. 3 in total each. If one of us fails one of them then our partner.. dies.' Suddenly the collars around his neck felt more tight.

'Here..' he said, handing the note to Anya. 'Pass it around.'

Anya's hands shook slightly as she took the note, if she failed Eric died? She passed the note and the flashlight to Odette.

Odette sat up on the table and took the note and flashlight from Anya, '.. great, another kids game ..' she said as she read the note.

She put the note and flashlight down on the table and started to swing her legs back and forth, looking at the objects on the floor, 'I wonder which of those the villain will make me use ..' she mused.

"I know the suspense is killing me," Anya said frowning, she didn't want to hurt anyone, but she would do anything to keep Eric safe

'You don't think we'll have to do anything too gruesome do you?' she asked, remembering the gun Lilo was holding earlier, 'I mean sleeping with random guys for money is one thing, but hurting someone else .. I don't think I could do it ..' she looked at Dimitri, 'but if we don't ..' she quickly looked away again, ' .. I don't want to think about it ..'

'Yes well we'll have to wait and see' he said.
He was determined not to screw up- nobody would get hurt because of his mistakes this time..

A sickening feeling came to mind... he knew that he had vowed not to hurt someone else like he had.
If the Villain knew everything, then he'd know that for sure.
What if he made him? There were too many people in the room he cared about.

[[ooc Sorry I've been working today. T_T I didn't die did I? It doesn't appear this has "started" so I think I'll just wake up. T_T]]

Jane felt her world coming into focus, knockout gas again. She moaned quietly, she felt sick in the pit of her stomach and wondered if the prolonged exposure to knockout gas would kill her. She looked around, "Kida?" She croaked. She was not in her room anymore.

She sat up and blinked a few times, she was in a corner, a young girl was next to her, she assumed it to be Lilo, she felt the joy bubble up in the pit of her stomach, but remained calm.

She looked around, Dimitri was here and just as she began to feel that everything would be fine now that he was here... She saw her. Odette. She looked to the blonde, sitting next to Dimitri and felt her blood boil.

She had already ruined her life once, now here she was again? Jane wanted to scream out at her "why did you steal my husband from me?", but instead took a calming breath, managed a smile and asked politely, "What is going on?"

Dimitri turned... 'Jane!'
He didn't know whether he should mention what happened yet... as if it might bring back bad memories. Instead he answered her.. 'another of the Villain's game. Theres a note going around.. you should read it.'
He looked over his shoulder for the note. 'Oh and Jane, this is Lilo, Anya, Odette.. and you've met Eric at the Dinner Party. I don't know if you've met anyone else in person...'

"Dimitri." Jane smiled brightly at him, she wanted to give him a hug, but it just didn't seem appropriate at this time.

"I thought this was Lilo." Jane smiled down at the girl near her, nodded politely to Eric with a small wave, and turned to Anya and shook her hand. "Nice to meet you Anya."

And, she then turned to Odette, that scent, she still had it, the one Cale came home with every night. The very thought of it made her want to cry, and cry she nearly did, instead she stuck out her hand politely and choked "Nice to..." She took a deep breath, smiled and began again. "A pleasure to meet you... Odette."

'So you're Jane, it's nice to finally put a face to the voice,' Odette said and smiled as she shook her hand. Although she had a feeling that she had seen her before, somewhere outside this place, but she just shook her head and passed her the note and flashlight, 'here, you might want to read this.'

"Thank you." Jane graciously accepted the flashlight and the note.

She skimmed over it, her face became ashen.

"So...." She looked up at Dimitri, unable to finish her sentence.

She paused, read the note again and her face became full of resolve.

"That book." She lowered her voice, "It was full of lies. To pull us all apart...."

She looked at the note again, "We can all survive this." She said louder, glancing around the room.

Anya nodded, hopefully they could. She looked over at Eric she would rather die than let him.

'Even if we have to hurt each other to survive?' Odette asked still swinging her legs as she sat on the table, still unsure if she would be able to do it if that's what the villain asked of them.

Not all of it... he thought, thinking back to Phoebus, Eric and Sinbad... people's sins that he had seen the effects of first hand.

Anya rested her head inher hands, she knew she could never hurt any of these people, "If we do have to, I don't know what I'll do," Anya whispered

"If it means we can all live to see another day here, and another day someday in the sunlight and fresh air... Then yes. I'll do it. You can hit me, cut me, but if that means freedom then I'm in." Jane nodded, she felt that spark coming back, the one that Phoebus had nearly extinguished. But it was still there, her sense of freedom that was there. More than anything she wanted freedom, but she wanted freedom for the others as well.

If seeing Lilo and everyone else free, meant spilling her own blood then she would do whatever it took. There was a chance her son was still out there, she would get back to him.

'Same... I have no problem with you guys slicing and dicing at me..'
He wasn't afraid of his own bloodshed... still hurting any of these people.. he knew he would struggle. But he would pull through this.. he would have to overcome it if it meant saving another person's life.

'I guess you're right ..' Odette jumped down from the table and walked over to Dimitri, putting her hand on his arm, 'we can do this,' she said with a smile, 'you guys can't do anything to me that's worse than what my father put me through and if we do it then the villain won't kill us.'

Anya looked up, "I'm not scared to get hurt, I don't fear physical pain, I just don't know if I'd be able to hurt any of you,"

Jane watched Odette place her hand on Dimitri's arm.

She felt a stab run through her chest and she squeezed her eyes shut.

She had a feeling that the feelings Odette was bringing back to her, were worse than anything anyone here could to do her.

She wanted to be stabbed, rather than feel her heart break.... Odette brought too many bad memories, and here she was again, with someone else who had given Jane the smallest bit of happiness here.

'Look no ones going to die here.. we all are in pairs but that doesn't mean we're only responsible for each other. We've got to help everyone out to ensure we get through this- ok?' He felt a rush of determination. They couldn't escape so they might as well play, and beat the Villain at his own game.

The speakers went on again.
"I see you have all read my little note... I think the first order will be to..."
He took a pause and made a little 'Hmm..' sound as if he was considering.
"Jane. Please. Don't worry though, nothing to horrible. If anything I suppose you will actually take pleasure in this..."
He laughed a little, softly.
"Villain says... pick up that kitchen knife and stab sweet, little Odette, will you? Anywhere you want, but the knife has to be all the way in..."

'He's right, we all have to work together so we can survive this,' she said, smiling at the rest of the group. She paused when she noticed Jane's expression, 'are you ok Jane?' she asked with concern, walking over to her and placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

Jane nodded at Dimitri, pleased he was adopting a determined atitude. She tried to remain positive for everyone here, if they could all believe and work together as a team they could do it. The one thing the Villian couldn't break was the human spirit.

She felt her sin becoming true. Envy. As she watched Odette next to Dimitri, that might break her.

"Don't be afraid to hurt me." She mumbled to no one in particular, "It's better than what I'm feeling now." She didn't really intend for anyone to hear, she didn't even mean to say it aloud really... She wanted to stay strong for Lilo, but how could she remain positive when a reminder of so much pain was standing right there hurting her more?

She needed to calm down, cut Odette some slack. She probably knew nothing about her kiss with Dimitri, and maybe Dimitri hadn't even told Odette. Maybe he didn't feel the same way about Jane as she did for him. Odette probably didn't even know that Cale was married. Jane couldn't take out anger on the girl if she didn't even know who Jane was.

Odette asked her if she was fine, Jane stopped herself from shivering at her touch, and instead took her hand.

"Yes... Yes I'm fine." A single tear rolled down her cheek, but her lips smiled.
