TTW With Room 5

Aladdin had had it up to here with sleeping and being quiet, and he finally snapped out of it. After a few weeks of hardly communicating with Sinbad, he got up and quietly walked past Sinbad as to not wake him. He walked up to the wall, hoping to hear a familiar voice. He thought back on his friends that he missed, and he realized it had been months since he heard from Jane. He feared the worst and clenched his fist, but decided to put it from his mind and knock on the wall.

"Hey, it's Aladdin. Who's there?"

Snow White sat up slowly she was still kind of upset about her talk with Dimitri and she didn't recognize the man's voice that she heard. "Hello, I don't think we've met yet my name's Snow White." She said with a smile.

[OOC: I couldn't remember if our characters had met yet XD]

"Hello Snow White, it's nice to meet you. How are you doing? You sound upset. Although I suppose being here in the first place is enough reason to be upset."

Snow White smiled at his concern, "I'm doing all right, I was just talking to someone who's not doing so great." She said carefully. She smiled, Aladdin seemed to be a far cry from Dimitri and it was relief.

"Hm.. If you don't mind me being a bit nosy, who might that person be? I only ask because I want to keep track of those I know and love. When I don't hear from someone for a while, I worry..." Aladdin thought of Esmeralda, and seeing her lifeless body shimmering in the pool. Seeing the light from the little boy's eyes disappear as he was shot outside. He stopped his train of thought and put his focus back on the conversation.

She bit her lip, "His name is Dimitri and um well I've been talking to him and he thinks that he doesn't deserve to live. I wish I could convince him otherwise but he's been very stubborn, do you know him?" She asked.

Dimitri. The name sounded so familiar to Aladdin. Dimitri...

Suddenly the light bulb lit, and two things came to mind. One, he remembered talking to Dimitri briefly through the wall when he was roomed with Esmeralda. Dimitri was with Jane, and they were in a relationship of sorts.

Jane... Aladdin thought. I hope she's alright, but... It's been months. Aladdin felt sad, because he was terrified that his thoughts were true. That one of the best friends he made her was dead.

The other thing that came to mind was the HUGE 'key' fiasco going around. The one that gave Aladdin all of the cuts and gashes all over his body while a drunken enraged John drug him across the entire building. The same key that caused the death of that small boy, shot Sinbad in the leg, and threatened all of their lives.

Did Snow know anything about the key? Aladdin wondered.

"Yeah", he said finally, "I suppose I knew him a little bit. I met him through the wall months ago. I haven't heard from him or seen him since then, but about a month ago I was at gunpoint because of something he did. I don't know what's going on with him. But I wish I could talk to him... I want to ask him how Jane is. Do you know Jane? And are you roomed with Dimitri right now?"

She bit her lip, "I'm not roomed with him, I've been talking to him through the wall both of our room mates have been sleeping. Who's Jane?" She asked, she filed away all the other information. She was curious to know more about this Jane person though, and about what happened to cause the Villain to hold others at gun point.

"Hm... Well, you should keep checking on him. If he seems to like talking to you, try getting him to tell you more about why he's upset. Ask him..." Aladdin wondered if he should mention this next part. "... Ask him about the key. If he's okay with it." Aladdin pulled a little at his hair and continued. "I know nothing about this 'key', but that key and why Dimitri had it is the reason we were at gunpoint. And a little boy died because of it. Sinbad was shot too, if you know him, but he survived."

"Anyway", Aladdin continued, "Jane.." Aladdin smiled. "Jane is an absolutely amazing woman. Courageous, kind, very smart. She helped me while Esmeralda gave birth. I don't know if you met Esme..." Aladdin felt that sting of pain again. "She..." There was a long silence, and he could hear the pain in his voice.

"She was my fiancee. She ended up here as well, and we found out she was pregnant. About half a year ago, while we were actually roomed together, she gave birth to our son, Aaron. But he was born too early, he was sick. So Esme did what she believed was best and gave Aaron to John while I was sleeping. Not long after that, the gas took effect and I woke up somewhere else.
It was a couple months later and I hadn't heard from Esme at all. One day, I woke up in the same room I had last seen her. But not for long. I woke up, turned around, and there she was. Standing a little ways away from me. She said my name and collapsed... The gas took effect again before I could catch her. I..." Aladdin's voice broke a little. "I didn't see her again for a while. I kept praying she'd be my roommate again, or that I could talk to her through one of the walls, or that I'd see her at an event.
One day I got an invite from John for a pool party. I hoped she'd be there. She... was..." The memories played like a movie in his mind. "I..." Even though it had been months since her death, it killed him to talk about it, let alone think about it. "I found her there. In the pool. Dead. It was too late. I couldn't help her."

There was a very long silence.

"Anyway.." he continued, "So I haven't heard from Jane in months, not since Aaron's birth. And that scares me. All I know is that Dimitri knew Jane, very well. She loved him. That's why I asked about her."

Snow White was struck speechless as Aladdin told her about Esmerelda and Jane, "Aladdin, I'm so sorry I....I'll ask Dimitri about the key and about Jane." She bit her lip, the silence filled the room, "Esmerelda sounded like a lovely person, I'm sorry for your loss. I know we've just met but if there's anything I can do please let me know." She said earnestly. She could feel tears make their way down her face, she couldn't imagine seeing Shang dead and then having to live on past that.

"Thank you Snow! Be careful what you ask though... Don't push him. Both topics could be difficult ones, and I don't want to make things any harder on him. Just if he's willing to talk about it.."

Aladdin smiled, remembering Esmeralda. "She was wonderful. She was the bravest, strongest person I've ever met. She was sick, very sick... So in a way, maybe it's good that she's free from this place. I've just learned to hold dear to those you love. Love them while you can with everything you have, and never give up."

She smiled sadly, "I plan too." She said as she thought about Shang, if she were ever roomed with him again she would make the time she spent with him dear to her heart. "So you're roomed with Sinbad? How's his leg?" She asked as she remembered him mentioning that Sinbad had been shot.

"His leg seems to be doing fine. Sinbad and I have been roommates for the past two rooms, but neither of us have talked much. We were each other's first roommates when we were first taken here too. But both of us are just... Tired. Of everything. And so there hasn't been much conversation, we've just mostly been sleeping or sitting thinking to ourselves. We have no problem with it, it's relaxing to both of us. Temporarily no drama, just... Quiet."

Aladdin remembered when he was first roomed with Sinbad. How he acted, what he looked like... He glanced across the room at Sinbad, who was sleeping. He did look different.

"So who are you roomed with?"

She glanced over at the sleeping man and sighed, "I still don't know, I've never met him before and he still hasn't woken up." She said with worry.
